1998 Dodge Grand Caravan..........

All of the gauges went out as well as the window that tells you how many miles are on it and what gear you're in! Is this the fuse box maybe?

There are one or two bad solder connections where the cables connect to the back of the instrument cluster. They were pretty obvious on mine. It takes about 20 minutes to fix and is very simple.

Check the fuse for the gauges,if this is not the problem, there is a problem in the connection to the instrument cluster.

Most likely the second gear section of the transmission has gone bad. There are 3 or 4 different gear sections or assemblies in an automatic transmission, when they go bad, they go bad.

I'm thinking the coolnat level is low, and this might be caused by a bad head gasket - At least $800 to fix - sorry.

All gages dont work

I had the same problem and noticed when I went on a bumpy road that the gauges started working again. It is a short in the wiring because if you hit on the instrument panel with your hand the gauges will work again.

Sorry guys, but you may be facing a TCM failure. This is the computer brains of the outfit that causes problems such as erratic gauge performance, flashing map lights and surging of the engine. But it may not be either. Only a complete computer diagnosis can tell for sure.

TCM = They Cost Much $.
