Question about 2004 Chevrolet Impala
How do I remove the plastic engine cover on the top of a 2004 3.8L chevy engine so I can change thermostat?
SOURCE: 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle
Remove the 13 mm bolt hold at the bottom side of the battery.
Take the splash shield off, and pull out the bolt, you can use a magnet to catch the mount and bolt when it comes loose.
You will find another bolt holding the power steering reservoir, take it out. then after pull it out , this won't be easy.
After replacing the battery the radio will go into safe mode and you will have to retrieve the radio code, and also reset the windows' one touch up and down programming.

I'm unsure if it holds true for your car, but on most cars that I've seen, the speedometer cluster is sealed shut to prevent tampering.
