Remove the 13 mm bolt hold at the bottom side of the battery.
Take the splash shield off, and pull out the bolt, you can use a magnet to catch the mount and bolt when it comes loose.
You will find another bolt holding the power steering reservoir, take it out. then after pull it out , this won't be easy.
After replacing the battery the radio will go into safe mode and you will have to retrieve the radio code, and also reset the windows' one touch up and down programming.

I'm unsure if it holds true for your car, but on most cars that I've seen, the speedometer cluster is sealed shut to prevent tampering.

Follow the top radiator hose back to the engine. Where it attaches is where the thermostat is. Remove the bolts that hold the thermostat cover on to the engine and remove the thermostat. Clean any old gasket material from both the engine and the thermostat cover. Drop in the new thermostat, then align the new gasket and install the bolts.

Change thermostat on 2004 chevy impala?

first you need drain engine coolant down below thermostat. what engine type 3.8 or 3.4 need to know.the 3.8 engine thermostat housing on top intake follow top radiator hose to thermostat housing.the 3.4 engine you have to remove air filter housing with air inlet duct with mass air flow sensor.you have to remove throttle body with coolant hoses.go to auto parts store buy new throttle body hoses old ones will be hard to remove might have to cut two small hoses also buy new throttle body gasket also. before you can remove throttle body unit you have to remove accelerator cable and downshift cable from bracket bolted to throttle body.once throttle body remove then you can remove thermostat housing bolt remove replace thermostat.

Where is the thermostat located at

Remove the plastic engine cover, find the top radiator hose and follow it to the motor. Where the radiator connects to the motor, is the thermostat housing. Just remove the hose and then the bolt holding the housing on and change the thermostat. dont forget to scrape the old gasket off of both the housing and the motor to get a good seal.

It's inside of the plastic cover on top of the engine. You'll need to remove the assembly. First lift the rear to loosen it from the stud. Loosen the clamps to remove the ducts and pcv tube. Disconnect the electrical connector. Now you can tip the assembly over and remove the screws to separated the halves and replace the paper element.
