My 2009 dodge caliber runs fine and stops fine but the abs dash light came on and the cruise stoped working suddenly. What might be the cause of this and the cure. the auto parts place put a scanner

You would need to have someone scan the body computer to check for codes. Most code readers will not access body computers.
The cruise would stop working if the ABS light came on for safety reasons.

I purchased a new battery for my 1997 hyundi sonta but everything is dead. when time to come home from work hopped in my car everthing was dead jump lead no problems went straight away drove home about 17...

Sounds like the ground wire for the battery is not making clean contact. Trace that wire and clean both ends and the area it connects to the engine block. Good luck!

Possible dirty fuel filter. I'd start there first, as it's the cheapest route, and quite possibly replacing the filter will solve your problem.
