on the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge.Then you can get to your speaker

The door chime is played over the speaker. I had the same issue the speaker was junk. The circuit resistance was correct but no tunes. Replaced the speaker with one from the junk yard and sounds great all the time.

these trucks have a generic body control module in the left kickpanel. just remove the plastic trim from the drivers floor molding to access the module. inspect the wire for green dust or gel. if there is signs of this then you have a corrosion problem. disconnect you battery and then try cleaning the corrosion all off using contact cleaner and penetrating oil. once the corrosion is gone then reconnect everything and try to see if it works. If not then it is possible that the module is damaged. you will need a new one.
