check tat the speedometer and the tacometer wire are properly connected at correct position.if it is cut change the wire

The speed sensor or sending unit is threaded into the transmission. You will have to get under it and locate the wire coming from the transmission. When you take it out, there is a small gear on the end of it that is calibrated for your driveline. You may be able to replace just the sending unit.
