SOURCE: Driver's side door power locks are stuck; door stuck shut.

sounds like the rods are disconnected the clips hold the rods in place the latching mechanism holds the handle in place as well did you replace the speakers or did a shop? if a shop did then they caused this if you did then you may have caused this either way untill you reattach the rods none of it will work. you will have to manually open the door at the latch from inside teh door behind the panel.

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Excursion door locks will not unlock or lock.

Unfortunately the actuators are bad. You could try removing the door panels and disconnect one actuator at a time and possibly only have a couple bad but it is common to have more than on go bad. I hope this helps. Good luck.

SOURCE: my driver side power window doesn't work.

Removing a door panel is easy. First locate all of the screws and remove them, some will be hidden under plastic covers. Next take a door panel tool (about $5.00 at a parts store) work it around the panel to find the plastic keepers, carefully pop out the keepers, the keepers will need to be replaced just try not to damage the panel, you can buy need keepers at part stores or even hardware stores.

SOURCE: how to remove front driver side door panel (2000 ford expedition)

There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.

Driver's window

The wiring diagrams for your 2003 GMC Sierra power window circuits are copyrighted material and cannot be posted here. However, I can describe the driver's power window circuit to you.

Battery voltage is provided to the driver's window (master) switch via the ORANGE wire at PIn #2 on the switch connector which comes from the 25 Amp Left Window Circuit breaker located in the fuse block on the left side of the dash.

There is a logic module located inside of the master switch which controls the "Auto Down" feature for the driver's window. When the switch is operated in either the "UP" or "DOWN" position, power and ground is supplied to the window lift motor via the BROWN wire (Pin #1, Connector 2) and the DARK BLUE wire (Pin #3, Connector 2) Thease wires will switch polarity dependin on whether the switch is commanding UP or DOWN.

The schematics show that the ground circuit for the driver's window motor is supplied internally by the driver's window switch module. It is most likely grounded inside the door panel itself - the schematics do not specify. To check for ground, you can test continuity to ground on BOTH the BROWN and the BLUE wires by back-probing them with the switch electrical connector plugged in and the window control switch in the NEUTRAL position. They should both have ground.

When the switch is operated, one will remain ground while the other switches to power.

97 Mercury Mountaineer driver side door won't open. Outside handle flops around; inside handle won't open door

Try a slim jim first, down the side of the window. Or AAA or locksmith. If no luck, remove the seat first. Find the screws and bolts around the door handle and arm rest. Most Ford's have screws around the outer side of the panel. I don't believe your's does. The panel lifts or pops off. Once the panel is off, you can reach down and open the door. Just a note. I have done some to where the panel came out in pieces.

Nothing is working on the drivers side door panel

Best bet it's one of two things, a fuse is blown inside you fuse box, if you open it up and look at the backside of the cover, it will display a diagram of what fuses power their parts of the car, look for the door panel and see if it's blown. Otherwise the electrical system that houses your windows/locks/ect is on a small circuit that is easy removeable without disessembling the door, if you have a U-Pull-IT type of salvage yard you can easily get a new door panel board for less then $20. I had to do this with my old Honda Passport, the only tool I needed was a flat headed screw driver to push back the clamps holding it in place. Here's a video showing the ease of doing so.utube.png You-Tube video "8yfhiMdKDjY" placeholder (do not delete) utube.png

*Note* you'll want to skip to about 1min 25seconds into it.

Drivers power window controls will not lower front windows but will lower rear windows. Also the passengers front window control will not lower the window. is the power to the front passenger side controls...

Should check all fuses and relays...Including those stored in the fuse panel under the hood. If they are all good, then there is most likely a problem with the power accuator motor / Window Lift Motor or the power control switch inside the drivers door.

To answer your continued portion of your question? Most of todays cars offer the driver the option to open and close all windows from the drivers control panel... Although the first part of your question seems to make that statement null. In other words, you should check your fuses first. before deciding that you need new switched or lift motors for both doors...

This could very well be a fuse problem

Actually I'd be curious to learn if any new features were recently added to the vehicle. such as a stereo, speakers, cd player or an amplifier etc... Since the installer may have not so much tapped into the wrong power feed, in as much as perhaps caused a knick or break in your other wires... Of course this may not be the case at all in the event no such items were recently installed.

Hopefully you find something useful in this

Good Luck and Happy Motoring

Window on Driver's side of car won't go up.

Hey Kotterpohl.

Sorry i dont have a diagram but what i can tell you is that you can take it to a body shop and they can remove the inside door panel and show you what part snapped or if you are pretty good with tools, screw drivers and star bits, you can take the panel off yourself, they're usually fairly simple to remove. Just be careful of your switches and door handle. Also check the window power motor too.

Hope that gives you a start.
