The spring that controls the throttle cable on a car is called a throttle return spring or a throttle-valve spring. This helps determine the position of the throttle cable and controls its pressure.
Poor fuel mileage is when a vehicle uses excessive amounts of fuel in order to travel far.

Toyota 4runner sr5 won't start its getting gas and spark.

Sounds like the problem is beyond your ability to diagnose

Too much fuel could be a leaking fuel injector or fuel pressure
regulator.

Too much gas & a no start isn't really the issue

Did it start & run before you did the wires,I would check your work
& mark the wires with a pen & also have diagram on paper before
you start a job like that. Especially when if you have no reference
material.

You put a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on a running engine
& the apply vacuum with a hand pump to regulator to watch for
pressure change,eg: pump pressure vs: regulator press

My '97 chevy s-10 won't start

Check to see if the fuel pump runs for a few seconds when you first turn the key to the "run" position. You should be able to hear it if you put your ear to the gas cap while someone turns the key. It will run for 3 or 4 seconds and then stop.
Check for spark. Easiest way it to hook a timing light to any wire and turn the engine over. There are many reasons for no spark. Most common being the coil, sensors, MAF etc.
If the fuel pump isn't running. Check fuses, wires, and finally... change the fuel pump if all else fails. You would be well advised to find one at an auto wrecker if you can. They are expensive.

Fuel enjection

I am assuming you gave the fuel pump sufficient time to refill the fuel lines and pressurize the system before coming to the conclusion that it won't start. That said, you could try the fuel filter, but it is most likely going to be the fuel pump itself, especially if it is the original pump from the vehicle. Fuel pumps reside in the fuel tank and are cooled by the gasoline that surrounds it. If you are one who is always running low on fuel or just putting a gallon or two in it to keep going, you are accellerating the death of the fuel pump. I have seen many instances in the MOPAR minivans where a fresh fillup after a low fuel/run out of gas episode finished off an older fuel pump.

Hyundai 2003 Santa Fe 2.7V6 - engine turns over fine, doesn't seem to be getting fuel immediately. Eventually it starts after 5 or 6 seconds of turning over. Suspect fuel filter or fuel pump?

Initially I would agree fuel pressure had dropped off after shut down. This fuel filter is a sock screen attached to the fuel inlet tube of the fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank with the fuel pump. This screen is rarely the cause. You'll need a fuel pump pressure gauge to verify the low fuel pressure at start up. Caution, sometimes this low pressure isn't a faulty pump, sometimes it's a poor wiring connection to the pump motor. An analog amp meter can verify if there is fluctuation/ing current flow to the fuel pump. A fluctuating current flow could mean poor connections, or could mean the pump has/is gone/going bad.

How do I go about changing my fuel injectors on my 2003 Ford Explorer or if it has a throttle body how do i take it apart to clean it

Why would you change fuel injectors, unless one
stopped working altogether?

If it has a throttle body !

You apparently haven't got any knowledge of
todays vehicles at all ,or even looked yours over

You can remove a throttle body to clean it, but it
isn't necessary & won't do much.
It is a casting, nothing to take apart !

I have a 71 Chev. C10 Pickup with 307cu. 2 barrel. I just bought it and it has electronic ignition. The truck idles fine but the slightest touch of the throttle, the engine either dies or tries to die. ...

To check the accelerator pump, with the engine off, move the throttle and look down into the top of the carb, You should see fuel squirt from the squirters at the front of the carb, into the venturis..If not, the pump is not working or there isn't enough fuel in the bowl. There is a filter in the fuel inlet of the carb. It's easy to replace but make sure that you don't loose the seal ring and be careful not to cross thread it when putting it back. The adjustment screws for idle mixture were often capped. Likely by now they have been uncovered. Attach your vacuum gauge to any port on the base of the carb or on the manifold itself and adjust them 'till you get the highest possible vacuum reading, then turn each about 1/8 turn back in. To test fuel pressure, attach the gauge to the fuel line with a "t" connector and read running pressure. You could just attach it to the end of the line and crank the engine but that isn't as accurate. You should have from 5-7psi pressure. Good idea to carefully check the fuel line also. It's probably very old and can have a pin hole in it somewhere. There also is another filter on the end of the line inside the tank.
The carb itself is an easy rebuild. No "trick stuff" in there.
As for the vacuum advance, if it's bad, it won't give you the symptom you are getting. You'd have a slight vacuum leak there and it may be down on fuel mpg but most times you'd never even notice it was bad unless you checked it. Test is simple...put your finger on the rod that goes into the distributor and attach the vacuum hose to the advance. You should feel the rod move.(running).
Also check the spark timing. On most chevy smallblocks you can run around 8 degrees advance. The limiting factor is todays fuel....being not as good as it was when the engine was made, sometimes you need to back off on timing to match fuel. Using good fuel, you could power time most smallblocks at 38 degrees total timing at around 2,100 rpm and they should be perfect. (you'd need a programmable timing light or degree tape on the balancer to do that).
Best guess??? Likely it's your accelerator pump. If you have an EGR valve on the manifold, make sure that's working as well. Also make sure the two wires that come from under the plate inside the distributor aren't broken or shorting.

if you can put fuel in throttle body and it runs. then it is not getting any fuel. check your fuel pump fuse and the relay, if ok, then you may have a bad fuel pump or a plugged up fuel filter. check filter and fuses first. good-day !!

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.
