The latch in the left rear door is either bad or stuck, open door, then with a screwdriver, rock latches in door to simulate closed. release with exterior handle. spray lubricant (WD40) into latches and continue to exercise the latch. if this quick fix does not work, then a new latch for this door may be needed.

SOURCE: 1998 GMC 2500 driver side door won't open from inside

standard problem; must replace the handle on the inside which entails drilling out rivets, etc. Easier to have a mechanic do it and the cost is around 150$... kind of worth it when you try to do it yourself. Let the problem go longer and the handle, itself, just lies there in a retarded fashion. Basically, the inside of the door latch has a piece of plastic that breaks off. Go figure. Build cheap ****; expect bad results.

This should have been made from a higher density material to offset this problem.

I would be looking for a sticking thermostat, especially if it hasn't been changed for 2 or 3 years. Less likely would be the clutch fan not working properly. Hope this helps.

You have to remove the upper applique to remove the tail lamp, it is the trim panel above the lamp. I think it is held in place by two nuts/bolts but not sure. You have to have the rear doors open to remove it

Tire size required for 2500 series,I have a cargo van

There should be a decal on one of the door posts identifying the size of tires that came as original equiplent. It is usually on the drier's door post but is sometimes in other locations. There are a lot of variations so it is not a "one size fits all" type of answer.
