My heater in my 2003 dodge caravan does not work properly

More than likely you have a clogged and possibly leaking heater core in your van. The heater core is located in the cabin behind the dash and it runs off of the antifreeze after it has run through the engine. You will need to remove and replace it with a new one, the flush your cooling system and top it off with new fresh fluid. How to Replace the Heater Core on 2003 Dodge Caravan eHow

2002 traurs no heat both heater hoses hot blend door seems to work new thermostat

i just went through this in my 2001 F250. first check to see if you have flow switch in your heater hoses. this opens and closes to let hot water in your heater core. mine did not have this, but here is what my problem was. i had used that pink antifreeze. it slimmed up in the heater core. i blew air through the core and un plugged it and had heat. it was hard to get that stuff out as i flushed the system 2 times and put in green antifreeze. in desperation the 3rd time i blew air through and got it clean and that was the end of my heat problem.

2001 F250 super duty 5.4 has very little heat. changed thermostat, checked blend door and other diverter doors. all are working. blew the dust from the heater core. still the air is luke warm. anyone have...

You should have a heater control valve in one of the heater hoses. Check that when you set the controls all the way up hot that the valve is opening the whole way to allow hot coolant to run thru the heater core. If the valve is working and allows flow, you may have to take it out to check it. Then the problem will be the heater core is most likely clogged and needs cleaned out or replaced.

It isn't heating correctly and i smell antifreeze. How do I check and replace a heater core in it?

If your heater core was leaking you would have antifeeze coming thru your vents and putting a greasy film on your windshield. You would smell antifreeze the stongest if it was leaking onto a hot engine part. low antifreeze will cause bad heater performance, I would check by the thermostate housing, and the water pump for leaks

1999 chevy s-10 with no heat

You most likely have a clog in the heater core. Did you hear a sound like running water under the dash on the passenger side at one time? If so, it's almost certainly a clogged heater core. The problem is that the orange antifreeze clots. It should be changed more often than recommended.
