Question about 2000 Ford Windstar
Call your local dealership service department with the 17 digit VIN vehicle identification number. You can find it either on the bottom driver corner of your windshield or inside the driver door on some labels. Call your dealership and ask them to run your VIN for any recalls. It doesn't cost you anything and neither should the recall repairs. Hope this helps b

This means that your key is not being recogonized.Ethier the chip in the key is bad or the patts transciever at the lock cylinder. Do you have a spare key? If not you will have to get 2 new keyss cut and programmed.

while it is possible to perform that swap, the newer 2000+ transmissions will have updated internals and such.
so will it work............. yes.

The check engine light should be on--rent a scanner, read any code(s), and pursue to repair(s). The O2 sensor has direct control over fuel/air ratio. The other sensors in the air intake system modify these settings for peak performance under varying conditions.

There is a ford radio removal tool. It looks like a pair of horse shoes most times. Or you can insert four 8 common D finish nails in the four holes (or 4 six D finish nails) -one in each hole until you feel it click. Be gentile. simultaneously push each side towards their respective front door and gently pull the radio out.

i fixed my windstar fuel pump problem.. fuse number 5 was blown.. replaced the fuse and all is better.. however i do hear an electrical spark when the fuel pump disengages .. (turning the key to the acc position)
