1997 FORD WINDSTAR GL REVERSE LIGHTS DON'T WORK

I WAS TOLD TO CHECK FUSES... I DID AND THEY WERE GOOD BUT I STILL CHANGED THEM... I WAS TOLD TO CHANGE THE BULBS IF IT WASN'T THE FUSES... I BOUGHT NEW BULBS AND UPON INSTALLING SAW THE BULBS THAT WERE IN WERE STILL GOOD BUT I CHANGED THEM ANYWAY. STILL NO REVERSE LIGHTS WHEN BACKING UP... NOW SOMEONE MENTIONED IT COULD BE THE SWITCH... I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO LOOK OR BEGIN WITH THIS PROBLEM. I PURCHASED THIS CAR OFF INTERNET AND HAVE SPENT THREE TIMES WHAT I PURCHASED THE CAR FOR IN FIXING IT... VERY UPSET AND FRUSTRATED NOW... PLEASE HELP... IF SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO CALL ME... 347 524 3248 ASK FOR SAL

i just replaced the switch for another problem I have been having with this **** car. Anyway now my backup lights are not working. How would I adjust the trans switch if at all possible. To get the lights to work the fuse is fine the bulbs are fine. I have spent a small fortune on this car in the last 3 months. i need to get the sticker.

Yes the switch is almost certainly the problem, it is located on the top of the trans under the lever that moves to select gear ranges, hard to miss, it has a large multi-wire connector on it, it is adjustable so make sure u make a mental note of the position of the 2 bolts (these retain the switch to the trans case) in the switch adjusting slots. The switch is called either the nuetral safety switch or the transmission range switch. 1997 FORD WINDSTAR GL REVERSE LIGHTS DON'T WORK - f2218.jpg

2005 Ford Focus- Blinkers, Brake lights and hazards don't work -just change the bulbs and they still don't work. Help!

That should be on two different fuses, but everything goes thru the turn signal switch.
The switch might be faulty. A mechanic would check for voltage there.

2000 ford windstar wont start changed starter battery is good changed fuses all lights work

Wild guess but the car will not start if it does not get the in "Park" or "Neutral" signal from the column switch. check for that it may just be so.

Check the position, description and AMP about fuses in your Ford-Windstar-Owners-Manual

Also, its possible that you have activated the Theft System; for details about disarm check your Ford-Windstar-Owners-Manual.

2000 Windstar head light power door lock and front blinker

Check your fuses under hood and on dash. Some of these use two different fuses for rt. & lt. Look in you owners manual for the correct fuses to check. If it is a fuse problem, you will have to find out why the fuse was blown. Good luck
