SOURCE: replacing 99 Accord window regulator

Pull off door panel speaker and switches. lower the window to where you see the two or four 10millimeter that connect scissor mechanism to the window. Prop window all the way up and put a door stopper to prevent the window from falling down. Unbolt window motor, unplug window motor, and unbolt eveything else in the door. Pull it all down and out through the bottom largest whole, lay flat on ground the entire indoor mechanism, out where you can see it on the floor. Take a pic with camera, and proceed to swapping regulator, intallation is same as removal. Good Luck

2004 2.7 L leaking water around the top of the engine coolant air bleeder

Replace the coolant air bleeder, front and center top of the engine. Remove the 10mm bolts holding the air intake down, prop it a a few inches, take the four bolts out and the two bolts holding the top radiator hose to it, polish ip the top of the motor where the pice sits bolt it back together. It took me about ten minutes to put in the new one. The part from advanced auto was 39 bucks, comes with a new o ring for the top hose, it is a piece of cake.

How do i replace the gearbox of a holden VR?

Taking out the tail shaft from the rear diff but before pulling out of the gearbox Drain the oil from the box, take out the shaft,Take off the battery earth lead, and now the starter motor.and the bottom metal plate at the bottom of the bellhousing (should be 4 small screws. and undo the 4 bolts on the flywheel metal plate which hold the torque converter on to engine. undo the bellhousing bolts and the top hose on the radiator ,and the gearbox X member and let down g/box slowley and slide it off WITH converter on the box ,
When refitting the other box its all in the reverse of removal (ALL OF IT) as well as the converter on the gearbox before it goes in as it fits on the shaft and turn it around and keep going untill it slips into the 2nd lot of splines and in line with the bell housing face.(Do not damage the g/box seal).
Let me know how you get on , Aussie Ron

Gearbox growl

If the engine and gearbox are vw then i would think it may be the
diff as the bolts holding it together are very weak and can break
causing gear selection problems and finally failure. If you get a reconditioned box make sure it has high tensile steel bolts in the diff otherwise after another 50-100k you will have the same problem.

Locating the starter on 90 Ford Festiva

Hi? Let's give it a bash!
Look where your gearbox meets with the enjin, locate the bolts that holds enjin and g/box together. The starter motor is located there and the connecting bolts are inline with the above mentioned bolts, the starter motor bolts on to the g/box and is located on the top half of the gearbox, should easily be visible ( under the hood, not underneath the vehicle.
Alternatively follow the thick red wire from the battery possitive to the rear of the starter motor also note that there is a thinner red wire from battery possitive to the alternator.
I hope this advice is helpfull!
Regards.

Frost plug locations for 1991 gmc 3500hd

i think you mean freeze plugs, any way there will be three on each side of engine block below exhaust manafolds. to get to the one on the right side clear to the rear of engine, the starter will have to be removed. if its the one in the middle, motor will have to be jacked up and motor mount will have to be removed to get to it. also there are freeze plugs on back of engine block, behind flywheel if one or both of them are leaking trans. will have to come out to replace them. also chk. the rear of intake were intake, and head, and block come together, same in the front could be leaking there also. as far as your truck not wanting to start i will need a little more info to help with that, like is it gas or diesel? if its gas does it have spark? can you hear fuel pump run and relay click? i will try to help the best i can but i need the info.

Replacing the gearbox

YES YOU CAN, REBUILT UNITS ARE AVAILABLE, SO ARE USED, ONLY DIFFICULT PART IS HAVING REMOVE ARM FROM BOX,CAN RENT TOOL, OR PURCHASE IT, EVERYTHING ELSE IS PRETTY NOMAL. START WITH COUPLER ON SHAFT ABOVE BOX, THEN PS. HOSES, THEN THE THREE MOUNT BOLTS TO FRAME. BE CAREFULL, NOT LITE.
