SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Sienna - Need to replace left rear brake light

Hi -
I just replaced my left rear brake light on my 2005 Sienna. I followed the manual directions and removed the two metal bolts from the tail light cover. However the assembly did not come off. I could open it a little and it appeared to be bolted from the inside. I looked online but didn't find an answer. I had already gotten pulled over and I didn't want to go to the dealer so I pulled on the assembly a little harder applying even pressure to the top and the bottom and it popped loose. I didn't yank it. There are two metal pegs that have a little lip on them and thats where you are getting the resistance. Hope this helps.

Take off the tire, remove the bolts that hold the brake caliper on. Use a coat hanger to keep the brake hose from stretching. Do not allow the caliper to hang from the hose without support. Grab the rotoe and slide it off the studs.

Do I replace the right side drive shaft on my 06

lower ball joint, strut mount, and pulling the halfshaft. you have to pull it out of the tranaxle and pull the spindle bolt. The ball joints let the steering knuckle hang loose to give it enought room so you can pull the halfshaft out the the transaxle.
