Sparay lock assy with lubricant, and look where release cable attaches to lock assy, and push/pry it one way or the other to get it to move, opposite of where it is. Lube cable too.

use a screw driver and put the screw driver inside the latch and pull outward this should solve the problem. if you need any more help let me know.Please rate my response Thank you very much

Either the boot release cable is broken or its been stretched. It is easily fixable if you know what you are doing, if not your local mechanic should be able to assist. I do not believe it would be very expensive unless you need to replace the cable all together

I have the same problem. I've found that if you push down on the trunk lid very firmly eventually the latch settles in and will open with the pull lever next to the drivers seat. I usually pull up and push down to mimic the closing motion in a firm manner and after a few tries this allows me to open it up. Consequently, I've begun to close the trunk lid with some force, slam it if you will, and this seems to prevent this from happening. I've lubed the latch with no success either. Just a Band Aid solution, not an actual fix.
