Has a light sensor that automatically turns on the head lights when it senses a low light condition. Unless there is sufficient light from some other source directed at this sensor, the head lights will not turn off when you turn them off using the switch on the dash panel. They will only go off when the head light switch is in the lights off position and the car is shut off.

My dome lights will not turn off at all in my 04 escape . i need to find out what fuse they are so i can take it out . i even tried to unhook the batt and that did. nothing ,.

the fuse for that controls all your interior lights first check your door jam pin switches the check the dome light switch before pulling the fuse and it would work out better for you if you just take the bulb out instead of pulling the fuse

Why wont the headlights won't go on

It can have a bad headlight switch, but most often it is a bad high beam switch on the floor.

Turn on the headlights and press the high-beam switch off and on a few times, if the headlights flash, flicker, or start working again then replace the high-beam/dimmer switch.

Headlight wont turn offcole family racing

Only 2 things can cause this either the headlight switch or the headlight relay, chances are it's the switch,if you have a multimeter pull the relay out and probe the leads with the headlights in the off position you should only have power on 1 wire, with them on 2 wires are hot if this is the case then the relay is stuck,it's in the fuse box under the hood, another thing can cause this if the fog lights have been rewired to stay on even with highbeams on,power will feed back to the headlight circuit.

Some kind of eletrical problem

unhook the batt and let it sit for a few mins while the batt is off turn on headlights running lights and press the horn to drain any residual power from the computer, then rehook it , this almost sounds like a bad switch or wire harness
