SOURCE: To remove the interior door panel of a 1996 Toyota camry so that

My 96 Camry LE has 9 attachments that are visible. Some have plastic caps covering the screws; others do not. There are screws at the door handle, at the forward portion(with covers) when the door is open and the back edge (small covers). As I recall, there are several friction type fasteners around the perimiter of the panel that can be removed by prying carefully away from the metal portion of the door to free up the trim panel. Once these are loose, the trim around the inside door release handle (the one you pull to open the door) can be pryed in a backward motion. Then the entire panel can be removed by pulling upward and backward at the same time (it easier to do this with the window down). Then it is a matter of disconnecting the wires attached to the various controls for the electric windows and door locks to free up the panel itself. There is probably a plastic skin covering the metal portion of the door. Carefully pull that away to expose the inner workings of the door latch mechanisim. The rest of the procedure should become easy to figure out. I have not removed the exterior door handle itself; but it is a simple mechanism as I recall. Best of luck to you.

SOURCE: Need to remove door panel to repair window that is off track

There is a spring clip that holds your window crank on. Your best bet is to get a window crank remover. You can get one at most automotive parts stores. They're only a couple of bucks. You shove it in behind the crank, and then turn the crank, and it'll pop the clip off. When you re-install it, put the clip on the handle, line it up where you want it to be when the window is closed, and give it a bang with your hand. It should pop back on.
The arm rest will most likely be held with a couple of large philip's head screws. They are usually on the bottom side of the arm rest, sometimes the top, sometimes hidden by nylon plugs. Some vehicles only have one screw, and then you slide the arm rest forward to remove it.
I'm sure you'll figure it out once you start looking. Good luck!

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Camry - Removing driver interior door panel

you can take a screw driver and pry it off. Be careful if you have power windows, if it falls right off then it could pull the wires loose. The panels have clips that clip to the door. Therefore, the only way to get the panel off is to pry it off.

Remove car panel if door won't open from inside or outside

Bummer. You have to remove the seat to get the door panel off. Front seat, I believe yours is bolted threw the bottom. The bolt will break. You can't put heat to them as you would set the carpet on the inside on fire. The panel has hidden screws/ bolts. Around door handles and down in the arm rest. Could be around the sides also. I have destroyed door panels before because of this. Good luck.

How do I remove the driver's door panel from my 1996 Toyota Tercel. I can't get the window crank off so I can remove the panel.

You will need a window crank removal tool to get the crank off. There is a clip on or behind the handle that the tool helps you expand to remove the crank. It's usually available at most auto parts stores for under $10.

Need help on replacing door handle on toyota camry for the front driver side..

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If it's the inside handle, just disconnect the rod to the back of the handle to replace it. If it's the outside handle, pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to remove the bolts holding down the outer door handle

Drivers side door handle is broken

No major labor to fix and you can do this yourself. You have to remove all screws on the door panel, use a tool available at the automotive store. It looks like a flattened out screwdriver with a notch in the flattened end. This is to help pop the fasteners off with the door panel from the door itself. Tools is about $5.00.

After that, unclip the skinny rods to the the affected door handle. You can use a skinny screwdriver for this. Unbolt the 2 screws or bolts from the door handle and wiggle it out.

Install in reverse order.

"removing inside door panel on a 1995 toyota tercel"

I searced everywhere to find this when I needed the answer. I read to take a hankerchief or thin fabric under the window crank until it pops off, then you are able to go around the edge of the door panel and pop it off. I had a hard time with the window weather stripping, never quite did figure out how to remove the entire door panel because of this, but had access from the bottom of the door. I also never figured out how to successfully re-attach the window crank, so hopefully you have better luck than I did. Hope this helps.

Replace the passenger window on a 1995 toyota tercel

Begin by popping clips in exterior bottom door, don't worry, these will pop right back in. Then take hankerchiefor thin cloth and slide between window crank and door, in upwards motion, to pop off, be careful, there is a plastic clip that will come off with it, I still cannot figure out how to reattach, and have my handle sperate from th door now. If you figure out how to save, let me know. Than on the handle there is a screw, take that off. You will need a flat head to pop the top of the arm rest from the attached bottom, the arm rest has plastic clips that are easy to unattach and reattach. You have then exposed 2 other screws (within the arm rest) that allow you to take the panel off. To get to the g;***, you will propably need to remove the plastic the door is covered in. Ghetto, I know, but sure helped me to avoid paying labor fees.
