My 89 f150 run for about a mile/ mile and a half then sputters and dies. Takes 10-20 minutes to restart then repeats. Is lack of grease on icm possible reason?

It would usually take longer than that on the ignition control module may need to look into a fuel filter is clogged or if the high pressure pump is not working

P0350 - Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit Description: Each ignition primary circuit is continuously monitored. The test fails when the powertrain control module (PCM) does not receive a valid ignition diagnostic monitor (IDM) pulse signal from the ignition module (integrated in the PCM). Possible Causes:
  • Open or short in the Ignition START/RUN circuit
  • Open coil driver circuit
  • Coil driver circuit shorted to ground
  • Damaged coil
  • Coil driver circuit shorted to VPWR
Diagnostic Aids: Use the 12-volt non-powered test lamp to verify START/RUN voltage at the ignition coil harness connector.
Check the coil driver circuit for open, short to VPWR, or short to ground. Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory Coil pack ignition testing GO to Pinpoint Test JC . What this code is say is there is an open in the coil electrical circuit . Had this code on a few ford's where the problem was the PCM - engine computer ! Spark plug gap got worn so far as to cause the coil to break down and send 20,000 volts to the coil control transistor inside the engine computer . Watch this video !
Ford 5 4 shorted coil primary winding and bad computer driver Doesn't matter this is a 5.4 L , works the same way !

Not getting fire to distributer on my 1987 Ford F150 truck

You mean no spark on the coil wire to distributor cap? Then test the coil or try a known good coil. If the coil is good, have the ignition module tested at a parts store. Post back for more.

Have a 1993 f150 4x4 5.0 / 302 new coil new ignition module new distributer cap/ rotor wires and plugs not getting fire from the coil??? please help

Check pickup ring inside the distributor sounds like the wire is broken and make sure you have power going to ignition module. If you don't go to library and use their all-data services for test procedures for no spark condition. If you have power to ignition module i would say its the pick up coil in distributor. This system is a pretty reliable one. I have seen new modules that where bad so you might have yours tested by your local parts store most of them will test them for free or a small charge.
Good luck I hope this helps get you back running agian

I have a ford f150 that is mis firing on number

The most coomon thing is a coil. You cant really test without a scanner or way to test coil output. But you should replace the spark plugs and the #3 Ignition coil. Use MOTORCRAFT PLATINUM Spark Plugs only. Number 3 is the 3rd back on the Passenger side. Be sure there is no water/coolant on the spark plug well, if there is coolant, one of the heater hoses may be leaking. Take coils out, using a 7mm socket, be sure to blow out the spark plug hole with compressed air before removing the spark plug. Take the rubber boot off each coil and place some "silicone dielectric grease" in th ecavity for the coil end to keep out moisture. Cyls 1 2 3 4 on pass side, 5 6 7 8 on drivers side. After you are done, remove the positive battery cable for a few minutes to clear the memory and long term fuel trims.
