Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

SOURCE: Used Jaguar Stype 2000 model

Don't buy! Run away as fast as you can! I just got mine 2.5 months ago with 74,000 miles on it. $5000.00 later it's still running poorly. Transmission had to be rebuilt, all of the seals and gaskets had to be repalced, all coils had to replaced and coil #4 &#5 replaced once more and now coils are going to have to be replaced again. Some problems can only be fixed by a Jag dealer which is 2-3 times more expensive than a regualr mechanic. Researched vehicle AFTER I bought it. 1999-2004 have serious issues with transmissions, electronics and windows.

SOURCE: how to unlock truck jaguar stype when no power

The button or the fob will not work with low or no battery power - you need to use the key. There is a keyhole on the boot under the trim or under by the reg. plate lights according to what facelift model you have.
good luck.

SOURCE: 2000 s typ 4.0 rattling from torque converter

Noises can sound like they are coming from different places , when its not. First, remove the serpentine belt from the alternator etc and run the engine. If the noise has gone , then its a pulley, alternator , pump, bearing etc , you would need to check each part.
Check the exhaust is not rattling or insecure, or the heat plate is not cracked or loose etc.Check the engine and transmission mountings, if they are cracked or too soft and making the power unit hit against the body etc
You must eliminate everything before you consider stripping the transmission.Hope that helps

SOURCE: Can you add a cd changer to a 2005 Jaguar Stype

Yes. You will need a proper Jaguar changer with the correct fibre optic leads (d2b) then It will need to be programmed to the vehicle wich can only be done by Jaguar. You may also need the correct carpet for the n/s of the boot

SOUNDS OF A BAD TORQUE CONVERTER

Typically, a failed or failing torque converter won't make any particular noise, it'll just seem to slip badly. It MAY make a loud, high-pitched rattling sound, though, depending upon what's failing about it.

2001jaguar 3.0 stype code p0420 and p0430

You may need a shop to look at this.
Code 420 is saying the catalytic converter is not working well on bank one and code 430 is the same thing for bank two.
There is an O2 sensor in front and behind each cat. The computer uses the readings from the front and back sensors to judge the performance of the catalytic converters.
Since it would be very rare for both cats to fail at the same time, chances are the problem is a vac leak or injector problems with the engine. I would say something wrong is happening before the exhaust gets to the catalytic converters.

Relaced transmission and now have a rattle sound comind from torque coverter area, noise gets louder when gas pedal is applied and noise goes away during shifting of transmission btu comes right back after...

your torque converter is rattling that is the clutch on the stator inside is worn out... You can stall test your torque converter ...Do this but follow correctly. put on parking brake..on the asphalt,,,, block all four wheels...push the gas to the floor for just 2 seconds...down one, two lift off gas pedal quickly..
when your doing this WATCH your RPMs they should reach to around 2200-2400 between the 2-4 rpm if not the Torque Converter is toast!!!! If your car passes the STAll test then when you tranny was put back on one of the fly wheel covers are rubbing....!!!.
