SOURCE: SNSR Fuse allways short when i put the key at

hi i have 1998 hyundai accent with 185kms- which won't start, it became unpredictable...
sometimes it starts sometimes it won't. i have to wait for sometime like 20 mins or so and then it will start on it's own ...like there are no concerns,,,,i took it the dealer and they said it could be cranftshaft position sensor , but they don't know really ....seems from there views and mixed reactions . ...they want to start by replacing the crankshaft sensor and then dealer want to replace the fuel pumps and so on..it's going to be really costly for me....and good for them ....cuz initally for replacing crankshaft sensor will be $250(including labour and what not) ...if not solved then fuel pumps ...i brought the care back for now ...it's running but no piece of mind...don't know when it will stop ....never had such a issues with this car.....its being a really good car.....every service as per manufacture were done on time .......any help will be great....thanks

Hyundai elantra has no fuel injector pulse

Are you getting power to the injectors? How do you know there is no pulse? Note, the pulse is on the ground wire from the PCM. If no power, check fuses INJ and SNSR. If you have power, the PCM may be bad. Are you getting sparks? Need more info.

Check engine light came on

What do you mean "can't find code"? If the check engine light is on, there is a fault code stored in your onboard computer - that's the way it works. If you are using a generic OBD code reader, that is most likely the reason you cannot find any codes. You need to use a scanner that has the correct software to access your ENTIRE computer network, not just the "continuous memory" or "generic" side of your computer system.

The window problem is a seperate problem and must be diagnosed accordingly.

Rough irratic idle. have replaced air filter, plugs, fuel filter, top and bottom o rings on injectors, #4 injector,Idle air control, MAP snsr, intake air snsr, upstream o2 snsr. had GM do a scan. they...

throttle position sensor, egr valve, coolant temp sensor, but really unless you are having a problem with the PCM it would show a code if any of those were out.

possibly a weak fuel pump? you would want to find out the operating pressure for your vehicle and either test it or have it tested if you are nervous around the fuel system

the fuel filter you changed, was it inline or in the tank? most of todays vehicles will have a filter mounted on the fuel pump inside the tank, some have both in-tank and inline.

just a few thoughts,
hope this helps!

01 accent gl 1.6 liter auto, air ;engine lite on,trouble code 342, (cmp, sen low) three wire sys. posit 1 tests bat volt. posit 2 is suppose to read 0-5 volts @700-3000 rpm;but reads 12.1 running and 11.3...

P0342 is set when the ECM does NOT receive a signal from the CMP snsr. You may very well have GOOD continuity between the ECM and pin 2 (000.2 ohms), but that wire, if grounded someplace (shorted to ground or to another wire in the harness), the ECM will not/does not get a clear/proper signal. Look for a problem in the wiring harness.

My hyndai santafe wont turn over

Which one is it?... Elantra?... or Santa Fe? In either case, the problem could be fuel pressure (fuel pump), then again, it might be crank sensor, coolant temp snsr, Intake Air Temp snsr. Have you scanned it for any trouble codes? Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

H2O is water I am assuming you meant HO2 which is heated oxigen snsr. whith the universal snsr there sould be a paper to which you match your old snsr to and then you could match the wires to the universal one. My recomendation is to put a direct fit snsr on.

AUTO ZONE COMPUTER SAID MY 02 SENSOR IN BAD.

Bank #2 referes to the side of the eng in which cyl. #2 is snsr #1 referes to the sensor before the cat. conv. and the code is for a slow response so, basically a lazy O2 snsr. So if you can locate cyl. #2 and follow the exaust manifold on that side of eng. the very first O2 snsr you see is the one in need of diag./repair
