Did you clean the cables when you changed the battery?
I'd trace the wires connecting your alternator and battery and make sure they are "healthy" and securely fastened. Then, I'd check the wires connecting your battery and starter. Again, make sure the wires are securely fastened and appear clean.
The starter and solenoid are one unit for this vehicle.
Hope this helps and good luck!

If you know the batter is good.
Check the Starter to see it is getting power.
Get a test light [6.00] and see if the starter will light up the test light.
If not - then you may need a new starter. From the sounds of it you might want to take it to a professional as this can be a very labor intense job because the starter has to come out the bottom.

SOURCE: my battery light is on
Sounds like your voltage regulator is acting up, and at times will not let alternator voltage reach the circuit. At this point car stars drawing on battery alone (triggering battery light) and working until it is out of juice. Before you buy a new voltage regulator, make sure that its contact points on the alternator, and the plug from it to the vehicle circuit is clean, shiny and making good contact. These parts, due to their location tend to collect dirt and moisture, leading to an intermittent performance before they stop working completely.
