Its not the oil. but i have taken the whole intake off to clean it beceause it had a real rough idle. put it all back together and it wasnt throwing any codes. i ran it for about 1,500 miles the check the tourqe on everythign i removed and all was right. ran it for another 5,000 miles and now im running into these problems. I still have a vacuum line coming off the fuel rail and i have no idea if it need to run back up to the intake or somewhere else. I cant find a diagram anywhere online to track down where it goes. I have been working on cars for awhile so give me what you think and ill let you know if it works. But i know for a fact these are cheap and easy fix's but i just need alittle insight. Thanks

SOURCE: 97 chrysler concorde high idle around 2k in park

if anything is the out of position the least bit there would be a code thrown and you would have had a check or service engine light come on. not knowing if you have checked that or not, there could be several things it could be. without knowing all things you have done I dont want to start throwing things out at you to replace. that could get expensive.

How do i change a fuel pressure regulator on a 1996 town and country lxi van ?... while driving the van shuts off and all rpms go down and then comes back on .. Someone told me to replace the fuel filter ,...

The filter needs to be replaced first, if there is not enough volume or pressure reaching the fuel rails, the pressure regulator it's not going to work, nor can it be tested accurately. Filter cost less and and is fairly easy to replace. The filter is located above and on the inboard side of the fuel tank

Fuel pressure should be 38-45 psi . Check the pressure before and after you replace the filter.

The pressure regulator is mounted on the throttle body with (2) 10mm bolts. It has a vacuum line and fuel line attached. Remove the vacuum line, make sure the line has vacuum on it, not cracked or broken--- If the vacuum line has any gas in it, replace the regulator.

I hope this helps & good luck with your Chrysler.

96 Chrysler Concorde ran out of gas put gas in now it wont start

If you ran out of gas you may need to bleed the injectors for air in the line. You can find the bleeder valve on the fuel Rail. It looks like a tire valve stem. Have someone start or ttry to start the motor over while you hold it down to see if any air is comeing out. Continue to hold untill all the air is out and nothing but fuel is flowing. By this time the engine should be running.

Starts right up ,pick up good ,when cruseing speed is reached it misses badly have replaced air filter ,plugs and plug wires has 160000 miles on it

maybe fuel pressure issue. Make sure regulator (at end of fuel rail) is getting vacuum. Replace fuel filter (Under hood, passenger side, front side of shock tower, mounted in fuel line). If this doesn't fix it, recommend checking fuel pressure (Position the ignition switch and the A/C system in theoff position. Install a fuel pressure gauge in thethe fuel line at the fuel filter connection. Locateand block off the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.Confirm that no leaks are present, then start theengine. While the engine is at idle, visually verifythe PSI reading on the gauge). Replace pump if pressure is below spec (43 PSI)
Please let me know if you have questions.

I would have the high and low shift sensors replaced first. If it continues to not shift it is staying in limp mode and you need to take it to trans shop to have diagnostic

Turns over wont start

This may be a fuel pump... do you hear it at all when you first turn the ignition to 'run' ? there also may be a valve on the fuel rail for the injectors where you can check for fuel pressure... I'm not sure. Just my 2 cents worth.
