I have a Pontiac grand am 2000 I'm getting codes u1000 and u1064

U1000 means modules on the data line have stopped seeing communication with a module. U1064 is a communication code for the BCM. It may be faulty or not communicating for some reason. If it has been changed it needs to be programmed.

Trouble code P1010. Volvo S70, 1999 non-turbo. I'm getting trouble code P1010. I've searched the Internet high and low and can't find what this code is fore.

This code refers to a communication error on the CAN communication line. The vehicles computer has found a problem with the communication from one or more other modules to itself. This code is sometimes set if the battery has gone dead/low or has been disconnected. Other causes can be related to loose connections/faulty modules or wiring problems

2003 trailblazer codes U-1000, B- 1850, Y- 1160, what do they mean?

Don't see these too often, must of been a dealer or a good mechanic with some expensive equipment....

U1000 is loss of communication with an unknown module...could be any module like TCCM.
B1850 is Drivers Lumbar Horizontal sensor Circuit Malfunction...in your seat.
Y1160, I have no clue what this is.

I would take it to a mechanic that has a Tech II (or equivalant) diagnostic machine, this will pinpoint your problem with at least the U1000...will show which module is not communicating. Would be able to tell you what the Y1160 is also. Good luck!

Trouble code u1000 on nissan titan

DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U1000 is a problem with the CAN communication line.
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation

This DTC sets under the following conditions:

The ECM (Engine Control Module) has lost communications with one or more of the onboard control units for a specified amount of time.

To diagnose this code you must scan all the other modules to see if they can communicate with the scanner. If all the modules are able to communicate with the scanner then the problem is intermittent and can be very hard to find. If you have one or more modules that fail to communicate then the problem is the data line to that (those) module(s).

Obd code U1041

Codes U1XXX (where XXX stands for several possible numerical digits, 001 - 254) are communications fault codes. The first part (U1) tells you that there is a communication problem with one of your many onboard control modules. The second part (XXX) or in your case, (041) tells you which module is not communicating. It can vary from year to year, model to model. so without knowing the year and model of the vehicle we are talking about, I cannot tell you which one.

In any case, there is a module that is not communicating with the other modules that are sharing information through the Class 2 serial data circuit. One module uses U-codes to tell on the other modules. For instance, If you got the U1041 code out of scanning the Engine Control Module, you can bet that the Engine Control Module is not having a problem communicating. If it was, you would get a non-communication fault from your scan equipment and the ECM would not tell you anything. Instead, the ECM is telling on the module that is not communicating properly .

I like to call these codes the 1-800 codes...THE PHONE LINE IS DOWN... lol ;)
