SOURCE: My 2004 Honda Accord LX

When the airbag light (SRS) is on or blinks it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called the clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the steering wheel while maintaining a mechanical connection to the airbag mounted on the steering wheel, to replace this part you must disarm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel, this requires a special steering wheel puller tool and that you disarm the airbag system before you start the work, to do this disconnect the battery negative cable for 1/2 hour prior.

SOURCE: code radio honda civic 2004

you will need the radios serial number which is located on top of the unit itself. Then take that number and any Honda dealer will be able to give you the new code. Sometimes it is on a sticker with your owners manual. i am still a tech and we run into this all of the time on Hondas.

I have a light on in the dash board its a guy sitting in a sit with the seat belt on and a big circle on him what does that mean

Good Evening, that is your safety restraint system (airbag light), to get the code for it you need to find someone who has a scanner who can code your airbag system so you know what part of the system caused the error, from there we can fix it. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Air bag icon appears on dashboard, and radio needs code number on honda civic 2004

the code numbers for your radio are based on the vin number, if you call a honda dealership service center and give them your vin number, someone will probably give you the code.
The airbag light can come on for many reasons, it can be an issue in the system , but on your vehicle there are sensors in the doors also, so you ever have anything leaning against the passenger door when driving?

How to enter anti theft pass code from dealer? Have no owners manual. how to turn off airbag light?

You just type in the code. If it wont enter, disconnect the positive and negative battery cables and hold them together for 30 seconds, reconnect the cables, and enter the code again.

You do not just turn the air bag light off. You need to fix the problem first.

I'm having the same problem, my SRS light is on too. Just so you know, I just got a thing in the mail from Honda for my 2001 Honda Civic DX Sedan for a recall on the airbag system (SRS is part of the same system as airbags, I think). Hope this gives you a bit more info!!
