Wiper arm stripped or motor shaft.

If it the arm, there are replacements available at niminal cost-Dorman 4355 around 17.00, be careful to get the correct one, driver side has a bend in it, passenger side is straight.

I don't know what you mean by stripped, but iam gessing you mean it won't stay on the windshild when it wipes. have you tride another blade? if not i would try that first. if that dosent work you may have to try another wiper arm. all wipers will do what yours is doing when conditions are just right. you can minamise this problem maybe with a double wiper blade. hope this will help. i think i figured out what you ment by stripped. if its what i think it is, were talking about the wiper mecanism under the cowl, and the part that comes up thru where the wiper arm slides on, its ribbed and the ribbed part is stripped, (right), if its just the arm thats stripped get another one at your local bone yard. if its the part that protudes up out of the cowel that might be a tougher fix. i don't know if the ribbed part on mecanism can be chg.or not without looking at it. maybe you can find someone in your area that can tell you if it can be chg. if not changeable replace mecanism. i am sorry what i told you did not help, i can only go by what little information was given. and i am still in the dark about your problem, only other thingit could be is the wiper motor itself.

2004 grand prix driver side wind shield wiper going past windshield and now is not in sync with other wiper arm,and still moves past windshield and jams up.

The arm is stripped onto the stud its pressed into which is call a wiper transmission. That part mounts to eack ww blade then to the wiper motor. You need a new transmission and maybe a new wiper are as well

2003 Buick. The pass side wiper stopped working,

the arm mechanism has a clip that pop off get a new clip and remove the access panel and move the arm over to the access area put the arm back into the hole socket and reattache clip , not the easiest repair but with a long pair of needle nose pliers you should have a better chance to complete repair. Some cars to access the arm the wiper motor must be disconnected and pulled out slightly then move wiper over and reattache pin arm into lever hole nstall clip.

Windshield wiper losens and hits outside mirror

The cone needs to be replaced on the wiper shaft. the teeth are stripped out or the wiper blade teeth are stripped out pull the arm off and see if the cone on the shaft coming out of the cowling has lines in it, if it does look at the wiper arm if it does not have the lines in it then the wiper will need to be replaced.

The wiper arm is broken and will not move at all. I tried to use it when there was excessive snow on the wind shield. It originally moved over pass the edge of the wind shield and hit the driver side rear...

hi bill im scott, im sorry to be the one that has to tell you this but it might be that you have rounded the main motor arm which is not as easy to change as just the wiper arm. if it just wiper arm then you will find a cap at the base of the arm which will pivot up with a little force and reveal a nut which will need undoing and most prob wil be loose. hence hitting wing mirror, if not the arm then it will take a lot of shifting the bulk head and remove whole wiper motor and inner arms which can be a bugger of a job.
