SOURCE: Can anyone tell me where the Crank Position Sensor

The CPS is located on the driver side of the car between the engine and the transmission. once you remove the air filter you can access it.

Autozone sells the part of $56. It is made by Bosch , the OEM is also BOSCH.

You will need some extentions to remove this. But you will be able to replace it in less than an hour.

Crank sensor, 2006 buick 4.6l location

This engine has two sensors, they are located in the side of the block and pick up the crank position from the crank throws. Below is a diagram. Make sure you check the connectors to the sensors for corrosion or fluid infiltration.

I need a diagram for the crankcase position sensor on a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Can anyone assist?

You didn't mention what size engine you had as there are a couple different size engines for that year. I gave you a picture of the most common engine which would be a 4.2 liter engine. Also I don't know of a crank"case" position sensor but am guessing you are talking about a crank"shaft" postion sensor. Now I'm not quite sure of why you are replacing it but I can tell you there is a procedure called a relearn when you install a new one to teach your PCM (computer) to comunicate with it. If you have ANY questions about that or testing procedures as to be sure you need to replace it, feel free to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net. Please be detailed with any questions so I am sure to send you the correct information as well as reminding me of your vehicle and engine size as I get quite a few questions. Don't worry the help is free but sometimes it will take me a couple of hours to get back to you if I am out in my shop working. I hope this picture is what you need and that it helps you. Good luck.

Clean it up and spray it with some solvent and let it soak...the o-ring is probably melted..you can also tap it with a rubber mallet to free it up. Of course, the retainer bolt has to be removed.
I hope this helps.
