SOURCE: Takes time to start up a 1999 Ford Pick Up Ranger

Check the MAP sensor and the fuel pressure at the shredder valve. Before you try to start the engine, cycle the ignition 3 times to the run position for 10 seconds apart and then try starting the car. You may be lossing the fuel pressure prime. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to hlep.

SOURCE: vehicle starts fast some times and other times

Sounds like dirty throttle body and sensors. Get you a can of T.B. cleaner remove the air cleaner hose to the T.B. start the truck and spray some cleaner while giving it a little gas as it will want to load up. Also why you are there check your air filter.

Hope this clears it up!!

SOURCE: 1996 Ford Ranger won't start

I had the same problem , and if you read your book, it could be the fuel pump shut off switch, mine was bad and went from on to off position, its usually under the passenger side of the dash, look underneath at the "top" of the carpet, and you'll see a little red switch, check to see if the thing is plugged in , if it is , check to see if the switch is all the way down. i had to get a new one , sombody must have kicked mine and made it broken, but i got a new one and it worked fine

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Ranger hard to start when cold. must

you may just have a weak battery, or a battery that is not designed for the cold. I would recommend having your battery test at your local autoparts store.

Why is my 1998 ford ranger ac not cold

Likely, you are low on refrigerant. Judging from your question, I will assume that you are unfamiliar with air conditioning systems, and recommend that you take the vehicle to a certified repair garage for service.

87 ford ranger wont start without starting fluid

It sounds like you aren't getting fuel out of the cold start injector... remove the injector when engine is cold and switch on ignition... you should get a fine spray pattern for a few seconds... if not then there is probably a problem with the cold start circuit (Temp sensor fault), or the injector is faulty. pull electrical connectors one at a time and look for corrosion... Hope this helps...;-)
