check for short in tailights. or this happend on my tahoe but it was the factory trailer wires that had a short under the rear of the truck.

it doesnt matter what color the wires are, what you are looking for naked wires that might be touching each other or try looking in the bulb socket to see if there might be some burnt terminals

Has the vehicle ever been in an accident ? if so you need to check all wiring in that area you have a bare wire somewhere .. Take the tail lights out and check all wiring in this area.. Then you might crawl under the whole car and trace all wires forward to see if they have ever been maybe pulled in to. let me know Jerry thanks
