Question about 2008 Jeep Wrangler

1 Answer

Cargo light will not turn off

I started my 2008 Jeep Wrangler - the cargo light came on and has not turned off since. It does eventually turn off after turning off the ignition but comes back on when the car is started again. I do not have any other interior lights on.

Where is the neutral safety switch located on my 2008 Jeep wrangler?

Sounds like you're starting at the expensive end and working backwards! First, check your battery, make sure it has a good charge. Second step is the starter solenoid. Some designs have external solenoids, some are internal. Third is the starter itself. Once you are sure all that stuff is good, THEN it's time to start looking for the neutral safety switch.

The check engine light is meaningless when the engine is not running.

94 wrangler 4.0 fuel pump wont turn on

If your check engine light does not illuminate when you turn the ignition on then your jeep ecu is in need of repair. The check engine light has to be on for the fuel pump to get power. Try leaving the ignition key in the on position for a few minutes to see if the check engine light does eventually come on and if the fuel pump starts to work then.

2008 jeep wrangler how to reset service light on the dash

there are two ways to reset the light. you can use an obd2 scan tool to read and reset it or you can pull your battery cables off for a half hour and that will also reset it. just be forewarned if you have not fixed the problem that turned it on in the first place it will just come back on. if you have fixed the problem after 50 starts without seeing the issue again it will also clear itself.
