Try the local library. I have had great success when using libraries for my information center on any problem I have encountered.

Whats causing the issues with my transmission? A750E transmission, 2006 toyota tacoma prerunner

code p 2714 refers to transmission fluid pressure (TFP) solenoid D-performance problem or solenoid stuck off===causes --wiring---TFP solenoid--transmission mechanical fault
with the shifting of the gears manually , that rules out a mechanical problem
question now --did you replace the correct solenoid
did you check for faulty wires at harness connections or at the box
I would talk with an accredited auto transmission shop to identify solenoid D on your transmission and to see if there are any problems that occur on a regular basis in that area of the transmission ( wire insulation breaking down in the auto oil , problem solenoids etc

When putting truck in to gear truck ackes like its in 5 gear

This truck has the 4L60E transmission. I like starting with the little things first. Inspect the fuse box for overheated or blown fuses and overheated relays. With the engine running and the transmission in park, take a look at the transmission fluid level and condition. The fluid should look red and be free of metal. If you notice that the fluid is dirty, brown in color and/or has metal in it, it is time to change the fluid and the filter. If the engine light on? If you notice that the light turns on, then you will need to have the codes read. If the fluid is fine You will need to move onto transmission diagnostics. You can try dropping the transmission pan and inspect wiring. When it comes to testing the shift solenoids that is more complicated. The solenoids are computer controlled. They are supplied with12 volts to move the solenoid in one position and spring return for the other position. You can remove and inspect the solenoids and see if the little screens inside them are clogged. If so then replace it. If you bench test the solenoids and they work then your problem will require a visit to the dealership. More diagnostics will be needed and they will need to take a closer look at the PCM, live shift data and so on. If you have other questions please write back. Please be detailed and Ill do my best. good luck.

The car will not shift into overdrive? All other gears work perfect? The problem just started tonight on my way home from my sisters. I got on the expressway accelerated up to 70mph and it just stayed in...

There should be an electric solenoid on the side of the transmission that controls overdrive, if it is not the cause then the friction plates inside the transmission will need to be replaced.

I have a 2005 Impala with a 3800 V-6 auto trans. when I come to a stop ,it jerks one time when I take off.Can you help me figger out the problem?

The transmission has not geared it self all the way to first gear and is trying to start off in second, once the car starts to move it gears back down to first gear which gives you the jerking motion you feel. Easy fix, the shift solenoid may be stuck due to dirt in the fluid and the transmission needs to be serviced, and or the solenoid may need to be replaced and the boost valve. Have the transmission serviced and have them check the transmission line pressure which would indicate if the boost valve is worn and the solenoid is getting stuck or check valve. Good luck and this should cost you around $150.00 in total so call around.

Chev truck shifting touble

Possible that the 3-2 downshift solenoid needs replaced in the valve body of the transmission. I would take it to a local transmission shop to have a scanner hooked up to see what codes they can pull from it. Hope this helps! ~Derek~
