Question about 2003 Toyota Avalon
I turned my car on this morning and noticed the lights flickering, so I knew something was up. The VSC, ABS, and Track Off lights turned on and off at random times throughout my commute today. I assumed it was a battery problem so I turned my auto lights off. When I parked my car in the garage I turned my lights to auto for a split second and the car shut off on me. I had a similar issue in the past and replaced one of the o2 sensors to fix it. . . Could this be the same issue with the other o2 sensor?

It is not hard to change the sensor, it just screws into a threaded hole. The light will not go out immeditaly, after the sensor is replaced. It needs to go thru a drive cycle. Your best bet is to replace the sensor and get the code cleard by whoever scanned it for the 0031 code.

Disconnect your battery for 10 minutes after which you connect it back the lights should go off. Don't report to toyota. Nigerian style!

Find and press your TRC button this turns the TR-action C-ontrol back on, and should turn off, the V-ariable S-tability C-ontrol light and the A-ntilock B-rake S-ystem light. If it does not rengage have the traction control switch checked

Check your switches for the VSC, some get bumped on (due to their location) and some get stuck in the "on"position.

I did research on line and all indicates that is caused by the YAW RATE SENSOR. It nedds to be replace and adjust. I have the same problem but havent find the time to get to it. When I do I will post it. If you do it before I do please email me with the result at email@example.com
