SOURCE: 2002 Honda Accord V6 check engine light on- local

po505 idle air control if this is the code all hondas do it eventully, small problem easy fix u have 2 choices either remove the idle air control motor and clean the inside of it u will find it's black and the spring inside is stuck clean it with carb cleaner or gum cutter any parts store will have this it's a dirty job it will work for awhile but to replace it is recommended its not expensive for a new one which u can get at any autoparts store autozone,advanced,napa etc. there is only 2 bolts in most cases maybe 3 i doubt it though if u go online t google and type in th eyear make and model and engine size in ur case it's a 3.0 v6 and look for idle air control locations u'll find it to do this job a shop will charge u anywhere from 100.00 for diag to retrive the code plus the part and the labor so about 250.00-375.00 it will only take u honestly maybe 15 minutes to perform only tools needed are a 10 millimeter wrench there is only 1 connector to disconnect and ur done if u do this u will still have the check engine light because u have not cleared it from the computer to do this just disconnect the negative battery terminal (the black one or has a neg sign - don't disconnect the positive side +)for 5 minutes then reconnect and the computer will have reset no more light. good luck it really is that easy

These vehicles have a recall on the ABS system for faulty wiring. You may want to check with your local dealer to see if your vehicle is included.

SOURCE: engine light on . fault code p0411. air solenoid stuck shut. show

P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected
p0411 is a generic code, probably a vacume leak,vacume hose broken check this first, check the air pump turn on the car but it needs to be cold, you should hear a high pitched whine, this is the air pump running,there are 2 hoses one suction one blowing thishose should be going from the air pump to the air cleaner disconnect that and see what the volume is should be pretty strong.
But mostly you probably have a broken vacume line somewhere

The check engine code p0505 showed before so we changed the iac along with the throttle body, had the alternator checked it still good, but now the light stays on with that code. what should we do? we

It may be fixed & it may not be

Who did what,how & why

A code reader is what you need if your
working on your own car
$60.00 is nothing for that,use it to clear
codes,generic codes is all it will retrieve,'
not the ones you may need to diagnose
they are manufacturer codes

To change a throttle body is going too far
I think

Explain

Alfa Romeo 147 t-spark motor control system failure car just died in the middle of the road and won't start again.

Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant teperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL THE DIAGNOSIS & TESTING IS COMPLETED.

Engine hunting

what a lovely car -if it was a manual ,i have a diesel manual one and its a flier ,as for this iam not sure so try reading the codes but if this is a gearbox related fault car then its the scrapyard as this car has no value in the UK but if stuck for spares look here in spain as no end of these cars running around and well appreciated here they are as well .This hunting when cold is the puzzle as it could be gearbox related whereby the gearbox computer is operating the engine RPM idle to stop creep but iam just not sure as i never see any autos of rover just manuals

Nissian path finder 2000 code p0505

That is idle air control (IAC) system malfunction,it's causes may include:
IAC motor connector is damaged (check connector and pins for damage, and moisture);
One or more IAC circuits open or shorted to ground;
One or more IAC circuits are shorted to voltage;
IAC has failed; or PCM has failed
You can clearing the fault codes. Then unplug the IAC and start the engine. If the P0505 code doesn't reset, replace the IAC. It is internally shorting one of the IAC circuits. If the code DOES return after unplugging the IAC and starting the engine, then you know it isn't the IAC motor. Visually check the wiring harness all the way back to the PCM. You may need to visually inspect the harness by removing all the insulation off the wires. It is possible that the wires could be shorting to eachother or to other wires in the harness.

Hope this helpful.
greetings
