The dome light only works when I switch on and off between always on and partially on. (ie when door is opened.)

my guess, is, door switches fail to light dome
1 or all 3 doors 2 doors 1 hatch. right?

i remove the bulbs, if i keep doing that.
draining battery flat can kkill a good battery and now $130 more poor.

i can not understand your failure statement. sorry
only works.?
tell me when it dont work please.?
off works,sure.
on, my guess fails? or (ill guess not)
and door mode, works. right? no?

if on fails, that is the switch in the lamp bad.
if door mode fails that is the door that fails switch is bad
obviously it not a fuse or dead battery because some modes work
this is one of the most simple devices in in the car.
electric.
car cranks fast yes
engine runs and drives good, yes.
and only dome fails ,right?

as you can see, with the correct schematic,
the switch ground the lamp in ON.
my wild guess , this works.
then you cant get doors to work
did you try all doors?
if the diode box is unplugged or dead
all doors fail. and hatch?
if only 1 door fails . only its switch is bad.

Electrical prob

batteries can be fully charged but fail under load conditions. have a load test done to eliminate the battery as a problem. Check for fusible link near battery and ING fuse near battery

I'm having brake light problems on my 1996 k 1500 pickup. My all my bulbs are working , but when I turn on running lights it causes my brake lights to go out and makes my signal lights to flash faste

this sounds like an earth problem , but with the faster flashing turnlights it could be the flasher relay , have you had any work done on the vehicle recently that may have dislodged something ?

Why did my speedometer stop working?

Could be 3 different things, 1, speedometer head has failed, speed sensor in the tailshaft housing on trans failed or the speedometer buffer failed

Horn is ok but not working

Just curious - how can the horn be OK if it doesn't work?
Of course, horns do fail, their wiring and/or fuse can fail and the switching mechanism can fail.
Put your DC meter on the horn terminals and attempt to blow the horn - if you measure 12vdc, replace the horn. If no 12vdc, you have either a failed horn switch or a wiring fault.

All head lights failed. Display reads: left front dipped beam failed, right front dipped beam failed Do the lights normally fail in pairs or could this be some sort of controllers failure?

they could fail in pairs, check bulbs ,remove and install new ones also check fuses after installing new bulbs if they dont work because they sometimes pop the fuse when they blow out , also theres a left and right lamp fuse so check both fuses , but only if lamps dont work after you install them. hope this helps, good luck.

Horn and power seats quit working. maxi-fuse extremely hot. pulled it out and re-inserted after it cooled down. fixed the problem temporarily (a day or so). swapped that maxi-fuse with the one above it...

which maxi fuse gets hot ? # fuse , plus amps The power seats uses a 30 amp circuit breaker ,not a fuse . The horn gets power from the same circuit breaker . . Sounds like something is drawing to much current. Do you know how to use a amp meter to test current flow . Disconnect componets till draw goes away ? How to use a wiring diagram to pin point areas in a circuit to test ?
Is there corrosion on the pins where the seat circuit breaker plugs into ? Reach under your seats an see if one of the seat motors is hot .
DeVille
The left and the right power seat system consist of the following components:
• The seat switches
• The seat relay modules
• The 4 reversible motors:
- The front vertical motor
- The rear vertical motor
- The horizontal motor
- The recline motor
These 4 motors operate independently of each other.
When the entire seat switch is pushed to the FORWARD position, the forward input of the of the seat relay is grounded.
The seat relay module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) with a ground to the horizontal motor, in response to this input. In order to drive the seat forward, the motor runs until the switch is released.
The BACK position works similar to the FORWARD position with the exception that the voltage polarity supplied by the seat relay module is reversed causing the motor to run in the opposite direction. This action drives the seat backward.
These recline switches operate similar but independently:

The seat relay module could be bad , If you don't know how to do automotive electrical circuit testing it mite be a good idea for you to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.
Could have diagnostic trouble codes stored as well .

1994 toyota camry taillights are not on, but break lights are on,

I would remove the Lamp Failure Senor module form the driver side of the trunk area, it is on the side brace, behind the interior carpet on the driver side. Disassemble it, and look for burnt components. If the Sensor is OK; look for a broken wire on the driver side arm that holds the trunk open. It is red or green, or red/green tracer. Broken wires in this area are common to that model.
