Question about 1989 Chevrolet Camaro
I was driving down the freeway one day and i forgot to turn on my fan to the engine the acceleration gave out in my car like it wouldnt pull is my engine blown because i put gas in it only to drive for 10 mins
Try checking the trouble codes...the code system is OBD1, so you can turn the key to the on position and cross the connectors (a and b i think, might wont to double check that...) with a paper clip...the fan should turn on and the check engine light will blink the codes. Each code will be repeated 3 times before moing on to the next code, and each code is a two digit number...The first code that will blink is 12...(or BLINK...BLINK.BLINK), which just means the sistem is running properly.
Write down all codes that flash, other that 12, and look them up... I recently experienced something simmilar and pulled a code 44--low oxygen sensor signal//lean exhaust...which means eather a vacuum leak, dirty fuel filter, egr problem, or most likely a bad oxygen sensor...
The codes will ofter tell you the problem, but sometimes they are just hints of whats really going on...
