Question about 1992 Buick Park Avenue
I was driving the car for about 12 min with low gas. when i got to the gasoline station my car shut off because of low gas. i put 20 dollars of gas and tryed to start the car but the car would start but would not idle correctly. After i let the car sit for 3 or 4 hours when i put the keys int the ignition the car started with no problems. After ten min or so the problem came back pudding, not idleing correctly same as when i ran out of gas. I have ran a fule injection cleaner, changed the fule filter check the pressure of the fule pump it was ok. but still same problems. as well as a ignition module no look. 1992 buick park avenue 3.8.
This definitely sounds like a fuel pump/filter issue. Good news if it's the filter, it's only about 10 dollars to buy a new one and about 5 minutes labor, including jacking up your car.
Fuel pumps cant be a pain in the arse at times, others are fairly easy. Best way to determine if it's the fuel pump, run over to Canadian tire and pick up an ohms meter. Test the fuel pump that way.
