SOURCE: How do you change head lights on a 2004 kia sorento?

The whole headlight assembly needs to be removed from the vehicle to access the lamps inside; especially on the side with the battery (left side).

Remove 3 10m bolts (one on top two on front)

Headlight assembly is held in place wth a large Nylon clip ear outer edge at bottom of the unit. Tilt out at the top and then pull forward and upward to remove. It fels like something's gonna break, but it's pretty tough.

Remove large round cap from behind either high or low beam lamp. Both lamps are hels in with a metal spring clip. Low beam is H-7, high beam is H-3.

To re-install, press bar into Nylon clip and then install 3 10mm bolts. Use a Torx bit to engage gear teeth and adjust height if necessary. There may or may-not be adjusters for left-right alignment.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 Kia Sorento that is leaking antifreeze

could be one of the two radiator hoses. There are also two hoses in back that go to the heater core. All of these connections attach to plastic nozzles on the radiator and also the ones on the heater core are plastic and can crack. Also check radiator condensor for leaks.

SOURCE: kia sorento diesel engine

could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug

How do I replace the radiator in my 2004 kia

I don't currently have access to step by step instructions for your Kia Sorento, but I would imagine that it takes a standard tool ratcheting tool set to unscrew the bolts for the shroud, and lift any fans out of the way. Then, the radiator hold down hardware can be removed and the radiator should be disconnected fromt he cooling system (via the hoses) and then you can pull it out. It does not weigh much.

Installation is the reverse of the removal.

If this happens when the engine is cold it is possible the head gasket is blown,or the head is cracked.

Somewhat, Is there any other reasons water would leak from hoses at the back of the hood area smelling like anti-freeze other than a head gasket? 2004 Sorento Kia 4x2

There should be hoses (2) running from the engine to the cabin heater and back. These would be at the back of the hood area, but down low. Watch your coolant level. If it is dropping then you have a problem. It could be a head gasket also that is spraying out the back of the engine. You just need to find the leak and fix it or have it fixed

Good luck and hope this helps you

The anti-freeze/coolant seems to just disapear.

first check the exhaust... if it is white you have a blown head gasket.... next issue may be a stuck thermostat next place to look is the water pump, there is a "weep" hole on the casting, if that is leaking you will need to replace the water pump
