Where is the input turbo speed sensor located for my 2004 Chevy Cavalier? Is inside the transmission?

The input would be on the front wheels .The out put is on the output of the transmission .So the input from the wheels turning is sent to the pcm and compared with the out put of the transmission out put shaft that puts the drive force to the road .
It could be reversed from front to rear but the concept is the same the computer senses the free wheel spin rate and then adjusts controls like fuel trim and timing air intake and so on compared to the speed of the transmission shaft
Hope this helps

The car can be put in gear, but the gears do not engage, it just revs. Manual transmission.

First I would ask if this is a "new" problem. Then I would ask is the front wheel or rear wheel drive? if rear wheel drive, is the drive shaft turning if so then Rear end or axial issue. if not then try all the gears if any other engage (especially high gear) then transmission problem.

Is there a drive shaft

no, there is no "drive shaft" on a 94 oldsmobile. It is front wheel drive. you have a CV shaft from trans to left front wheel and a separate CV shaft from trans to right front wheel.

Goes into gear but doesn 't go anywhere

If the axles are checking out fine you have a bad transmission, a bad torque converter and or front transmission pump, if it is front drive..... if its rear drive you may still have a bad trans or a sheared off U Joint on the drive shaft...this is standard problems for an automatic system, if its a stick you may have a burnt out clutch assembly, a broken input shaft or out put shaft in the trans, defective shift linkage.
Hope this helps you.

I have a 2000 all-wheel-drive, the rear drive shaft is broken. I can't find the manual that covers Chrysler all-wheel-drive, it looks like the ABS monitor in it, and something from the transmission...

place a jack under the transmission and raise it a bit unbolt (the transmission mount) "i think thats what u mean its all i know that above the transmission holding it in place. You'll need a rachet wrench for this and a long onbe at that,, if not you can use a piece of pipe,, you'll want the extra power.. Unbolt it and lift it off,, if its still too tight jack the transmission up a bit. That providing your refering to the transmissing mounting rubber Which is all i can think you man its the only thing above the transmission. The ABS is 2 parts ,, its a mastercylinder and a booster. Its mounted on the firewall (its the thing you pour brake fluid in.) Unjack any wire or hoses by unscrewiung them and pluging them with something.. DUCT TAAPE or rescue tape works.. Unbloth both the mastercylinder and booster from the firewall... unmounting the drive shat.. well you'll see where it bolts ,, front and back.. Thats the easir part.. you will heed o happer, pull and tug the shaft until it pops out.. Hope I was helpful.. if you need more help please feel free to ask.

2001 Dodge Caravan Drive Shaft/Transmission -- Accident damage

Personally I would not sign off the claim without that transmission being pulled out, & inspected. We're talking aluminum housing etc & that certainly doesn't stand up to a good whack, like the old cast iron did. At the least, I'd ask insurance company to have it examined by a dealership or transmission place , and get their assurance that nothing was damaged, in writing.

sounds like the u-joints in the front axle are bad or were installed incorrectly they only come into play when the wheel is turned. These are the axle ujoints not the driveshaft ujoints

2000 DODGE CARAVAN TRANSMISSION LEAK

A good mechanic should replace the seal with in 2-3 hours, mainly tearing apart your drive wheel on that side along with the drive shaft. This is a good time to replace the drive shaft if any of your CV joints are leaking.
Good Luck!! PHX
