It is on the side of the transmission, it has a vacuum hose from the engine going to it, if trans fluid has gone through the vacuum hose replace it to.

I agree with WaltGe. Take it to a reputable shop. They know where to drill the right holes inside the transmission so that it will be properly lubricated. This deficiency is the reason that these trannys were not dependable in the first place.
