It sounds like you replaced the slave cylinder. It could be master cylinder or clutch pedal bushings?

Why my clutch cylinder lost its pressure when not in use for 12hours but once i adjust the piston of the clucth cylinder the pressure come back again


Hi this is a common problem with new or old hydraulic systems.If the hydraulic system has no leakages, no rubber reinforced hoses swelling under pressure. It will be correct to replace clutch master and slave cylinder .Do observe the condition of clutch and pressure plate, This seems to be a case of internal pressure loss .

What is the cure for clutch not disengaging 1990 saab 900


I don't know Saab specifically, however I assume there is a hydraulic portion to the clutch system, it might need a flush. Sounds like it's not responding to the pedal as you lift your foot, and that makes me think that there is pressure remaining in the system. That pressure might be keeping the pressure plate from properly engaging. If that is the case, than worst case is to replace parts in the system if they can't be cleaned out. Best case is you just pay for a system flush.

I have removed the gearbox from my 2000 MB 100 Van. I found the clutch plate has disintergrated. I noticed the Flywheel clutch pressure face looks like it will come off. Is there more to this clutch system...


flywheel bolted to engine, clutch disk and pressure plate, also has a throw out bearing that should be replaced at the same time.
you don't need to replace the flywheel unless it is cracked though you should have it turned down at a machine shop.

My ac compressor on my dodge 2500 want engauge?


This could be a few things. The freon could be low, one of the switches (high or low pressure) could be bad, or you could have a bad compressor clutch. You can test the clutch by checking for battery voltage and ground at the two pin connector with the A/C on if you have both power and ground, then the clutch is bad. You really should start by hooking up pressure gauges to the A/C ports to check the pressures, and these vary depending on ambient temperature and whether the A/C compressor is engaged or not. I am willing to bet that the freon is low though and may be just as simple as recharging the system.

For additional information, refer to Section 308-01 . For specified clutch system service procedures. For additional information, refer to Section 308-02 . For a complete description of the manual transaxle. For additional information, refer to Section 308-03 .
The clutch system includes:
  • Flywheel.
  • Clutch disc.
  • Clutch pressure plate.
  • Clutch master cylinder.
  • Clutch slave cylinder.
  • Clutch release fork.
  • Clutch release hub and bearing.
The clutch master cylinder transmits fluid pressure to the slave cylinder, which in turn moves the clutch release fork and the clutch release hub and bearing.
The clutch master cylinder uses brake fluid and shares a common reservoir with the brake master cylinder
The clutch is a single plate, dry-friction disc with a diaphragm-style spring clutch pressure plate. The clutch disc has a hub which is splined to the input shaft. The clutch disc has friction material where it contacts the flywheel and the clutch pressure plate. Torsion springs on the clutch disc help absorb the engine torque pulses. The clutch pressure plate applies pressure to the clutch disc, holding it tightly against the surface of the flywheel.
In the engaged position, the diaphragm spring holds the clutch pressure plate against the clutch disc, so that engine torque is transmitted to the input shaft. When the clutch pedal is depressed, the clutch release hub and bearing pushes the diaphragm spring center toward the flywheel. The diaphragm spring pivots at the fulcrum, relieving the load on the clutch pressure plate. Steel spring straps riveted to the clutch pressure plate cover pull the clutch pressure plate from the clutch disc, disengaging the engine torque from the transaxle and enabling the gears to be changed.

Inspection and Verification - MTX-75
The following checks should be carried out before repairing or replacing the transaxle:
Poor gear shifting
  1. Check the operation of the clutch: Lay a block of wood approx. 25 mm thick under the clutch pedal and depress the clutch pedal as far as the stop. If 1st or 2nd gear can be selected with no problem with the engine running and the parking brake applied, the clutch is OK. If the gear cannot be selected, repair the clutch.
  1. Check the selector mechanism:
    • The free play in the gearshift lever must be no more than 15 mm.
      • If the gearshift lever free play is too great, check the gearshift cables and replace them if necessary.
    • If the gearshift lever free play is OK, adjust the gearshift linkage. For additional information, refer to Section 308-06 .
  1. Check the transaxle fluid level and top up with Automatic Transmission Fluid ESD-M2C186-A if necessary.

My clutch is not angaging need to see how can i bleed


Hydraulic Clutch System BLEEDING The clutch system can be bled using a pressure bleeder. Follow the instructions that come with the pressure bleeder for the proper pressure bleeding procedure. The maximum line pressure while pressure bleeding must not exceed 36 psi (248 kPa). NOTE: To bleed a clutch manually requires the assistance of a second person, a section of hose that is compatible with brake fluid (preferably clear) and fits the slave cylinder bleed screw snugly and a container to catch the fluid that is bled through the system. As brake hydraulic fluid easily absorbs moisture, always use fresh fluid when bleeding a hydraulic system.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. To bleed the system perform the following:
    1. Top off the hydraulic fluid reservoir using a fluid that meets the standards of the vehicle's hydraulic system.
    2. Open the clutch slave cylinder bleed screw and press the clutch pedal to the floor and hold the pedal down.
    3. Close the clutch slave cylinder bleed screw.
    4. Release the clutch pedal.
    5. Check the hydraulic fluid level and top off as necessary.
  3. Repeat the above steps until the discharged fluid is clean and no air bubbles appear during the bleeding process.

did you bleed the hydralic clutch system on this vehicle? = air in system or not bleed properly.
most of the flywheels for this model were not to be machined...... however it is ok to machine these only slightly but you must machine the surface the clutch plate contacts with the same amount as the outer raised section the pressure plate bolts to.
new flywheels have painted stamped writing saying do not machine...so if hydralic system is ok find out about flywheel.
also may pay to check clamping force of pressure plate most clutch places can do this or some workshops that is if fingers on pressure plate are all at the same height, not broken or cracked..

Chevy l989 4X4 5 speed manual clutch not working


Almost every time a clutch is replaced in a GM with hydraulic release system that system is replaced as well. You can try, and try, and try again to bleed it, but you will eventually replace the clutch slave and master cylinders. Once the slave is allowed to fully extend, it is then virtually impossible to make it function correctly again.
