AUX stopped working

I hit a bump on a road and my radio completely stopped working for about two days, unless i hit another bump it would sometimes come back on. Now after letting it sit for a couple days my radio works but my AUX does not, and my dome lights work when they want to. Sometimes when I open my door sometimes not. help?

Of course it sounds like you have a loose wiring harness connection or short somewhere. The best and easiest way to possibly find the short is to turn the key on so your radio is in the on position. And start shaking small sections of your wiring harness. When your radio starts blinking or anything. You are getting close to the problem. Just follow the harness to the problem. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi Joshua, Clean the battery terminals taking special note of the negative side. After you have completed that check the ground cable connections (the side of the negative cables that attach to the body). When fitting back the battery terminals use a thin application of white petroleum jelly to protect against oxidization and the same where the ground cables connect to the body. If the fault persists after that work check the other smaller ground connections from the fuse box and other ground connections. Make sure all the relays are pressed home firmly. Regards Johngee10

Either the unit is bad there is a loose ground or the antenna connections may be loose or corroded. Bring it to an audio repair
shop and have them check it out.
