Question about Cars & Trucks
Try putting it into reverse to see if the solenoid will release. Also check the transfer case and front differential for a lose connection. And of course check the 4wd switch with a test light. I'm pretty sure the solenoid is not vacuum operated but if it is. Check and make sure All you vacuum lines from the engine intake manifold, transfer case and front differential are all connected or a broken vacuum line. I hope this helps.

In order to disable a car alarm, an individual will have to locate the horn that was put in and disconnect it, or they will have to fix the problem with the alarm. You can disconnect a car's battery to disable a factory car alarm with help from an ASE-certified mechanic.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

remove the sun roof motor drive and close the sunroof manually, then reinstall motor, which by the way is the most likely part to cause this.

I assume that the vehicle has a rotating knob on the left side of the dash for four wheel drive. It may have been put into 4 low by mistake. To get it out, start the vehicle and put it in drive, select 4 low on the 4 wheel drive selector, take your foot off the brake and get the vehicle rolling at a walking pace (1-2 m.p.h.) then move the selector to 4 high, stop the vehicle and move selector to 2 high.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again.
This will reset the car's computer and can get it back to it's normal operation.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
