2 7 engine in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring with 84000 miles and and cylinder 2 is misfiring will a tuneup fix the problem

miss fire can be a number of things weak spark plug damaged lead, faulty knock sensor or a problem with the injector.. clean the spark plugs check them for changes between them. there should be no real difference on them but black soot etc is a chance its over ritch. water getting in to the spark plug or a damaged rubber seal on the plug connector can also cause this problem so would check for this to. would say its the spark plug area my self.

Spark plugs fouling

black soot is overfueling. And as it is a trail bike operating in dirt and mud conditions I would be looking at changing the air filter first. Change to a hotter plugs may help (select plugs up in the heat range ). Check reason for extra fuel ( choke flapping on or float level )

Misfire & black soot on ignition coil

Blinking check engine light means major misfire on one or more cylinders. You may get spark on a test but under load it may be getting blown out replace the coils and bring in your spark gap 4000th of what its set.also an extremely clogged cat can cause backfires too.also it wouldnt hurt to pull your injectors and clean them and check the injection seals and the fuel filter low fuel pressure or junky injection can cause this too.

Spark plugs is soot black and there's a check engine msg after oil spilled on the engine when i forgot to cover cyclinder head oil cover

the black soot may be old plug wires that should be replaced chances are the spilled oil caused the engine to miss fire setting off the check engine check the inside of the plug boots and plugs for oil.
