If you can not eject cartridge
Press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge.Push firmly in and move left to right untill it ejects, this will locate micro switch.
The fuse is located on the back of the stacker, this is ok because your head unit recognizes stacker.

There is no user repair procedure for this problem, the factory repair manual says REMOVE PLAYER FOR REPAIR BY AN AUTHORIZED FORD ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS REPAIR CENTER.
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: 6 disk cd player error
This is a part failure in the mechanism that loads and ejects the disk, there are no repair manuals avail to either the tech or the consumer, the only place that the factory gives this info and parts to are factory authorized repair stations, bottom line you must pull the deck and contact a Ford dealer in your area for location of the nearest factory repair station. I was dealer tech for 20 years and that is how it is done.

changer isn't ejecting you will need to physically remove the changer
and take the over off to physically remove the cartridge. This is a bit of a trick to do, you may need to take it to the dealer (sorry to say).
There might be a reset button on the face of changer next to eject button (about a 1/8" push it w/ a pentip) you could also try unplugging the changer for a minute and plug it back in.
Also, could try this article about 2001-2004 Mustang CD Player Installation or you can go to the dealer, They will remove your radio, Write down the code thats on the back of the radio. They will then call a stereo repair shop and they will send the dealer a new radio. When the dealer recieves the radio., They will remove yours, Send it back to the repair shop so they can remove the cd's for you, and then return the cd's to the customer.
