Honda accord heater stuck on defrost vents

I have a 98 Honda Accord. The heat and air works but the main vents are stuck on the defrost vent settings near the main window that you look out of when you drive. The side vents work fine. When I press the different mode settings, the LED button's light up correctly but the air does not change paths. The hot air gets hot as expected and the cold air cold...just cannot switch to floor mode or dashboard vent mode.

195 Honda Accord front window will not defrost, hot air is coming out of vent

defrost or defog?
there are 3 things that must work to get defrost
1: heat (bingo)
2: fresh air ,never use recirc mode or it will fog up.
3: A/C works, the A/C will DEFOG.
now pure Defrost/
I must assume you mean the outside of the glass? yes.
then all it takes is heat. and time.
if the engine thermostat (coolant) is not above 180F then it will fail..

In my 1998 Honda Accord Lx the hot air does not come out of the heater vents in the floor, the same is true for cold air in the middle vents on the dash. The side vents on the dash work fine.

89 Honda Accord Heater doesn't blow air at all

sounds like the blower motor, Get a test light and hook it up to the wires going to the motor this will tell you if power is getting to the motor . Hopfully it is , Just pull the panel off on the pasangers side under the dash and you can see the motor . It's easy to change and should fix the problem. If you get no power it check for power at the switch on the dash . It could have gone bad !!

Poor air flow from floor vents or when multiple vents choosen

There has to be something blocking the output somewhere. Check where vents come out to see if something has fallen down to block them.
