Question about 1994 Toyota Pickup

Checking for blown fuse

My 1994 Toyota truck, 4WD is not starting but it cranks. I've changed the spark plugs, placed new dist. cap and thermostat, and it had started. It ran for a couple of days and it wouldn't start up again. How do I check for blown fuse.

Hey, mad legend, have u checked for spark and gas yet? If not, that's the 1st thing to do. To check for spark, u can use a spark plug u took out recently when u changed the plugs. Disconnect a plug wire at plug, plug into used plug, place where u can see tip of plug easily, have someone crank engine over, u should see a good spark at plug tip. To check to see if it's getting fuel, attempt to start several times, pull a plug and check it, tip should show signs of fuel. If it's dry, no sign of fuel, u may have a fuel pump issue.

My car won't start, seems like no spark?/,just turns over and over

before u replace the whole dist. have u first checked for fuel delivery on the carb or fuel rail, and then if u have that then check the spark plug wire by removing one while cranking by arcing to metal , if you see spark then dist is good if not then replace, but if dist is good and still no start then check coil pack and or all fuses

1994 camry won't start after cleaning under the hood check dist. cap replaced spark plugs sounds like its going to start then doesn't.

Sounds like wet or moist spark plug wires. If this also occurs during early morning high dew point humid air, then you may have spark plug wires shorting out.

Replace wires.

1990 K5 Blazer DIED(Electrical?)?

There may be no injector pulse if the computor does not see a RPM signal.
There will be no spark if the ignition module does not see a dist pulse from the dist pickup.......a RPM signal.
Because you do not have both ......I would suggest to check/change the dist pick up.
Follow the wires from the ignition module inside the dist to the pickup which is also inside the dist.
If it is just a bad dist pickup....keep all your old parts as good spares.
Also...is the dist turning? to provide a RPM signal?
You will have to remove the dist to change the pick-up.....mark your timing locations......"rotor position" and "dist body location"before removal.
A quick test before installing the "repaired dist" .....plug it in the the truck wiring and turn on the key....DO NOT CRANK THE ENGINE OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DIST ROTOR CORRECT POSITION......as you spin the dist by hand .....the injectors should spray.

My 1994 Camry cranks but wont fully start

As you are finding out ....this is how you kill a car. You need fuel, spark, compression, and air to run an engine. Look for spark and fuel items to be working. A computer controls much of the spark part. They canbe sensitve electrically. If you are cranking ..starter sounds ok. Alt. will act up after you get started. concentrate on spark and spark control. Fuel and fuel control. This is what you need to start.

Have your checked your coils? Never replace parts to try and fix a problem, Find the exact problem and fix it! No spart would be either a bad cam/crank sensor, bad coil pack or ecm fuse!
