I think you should check your battery and alternator. If they both check good you may have a battery draw, something draining the battery over night.Check your doors make sure they are closing like they should.

SOURCE: 98 Ford F150 w/4.6l Wont start. Hear fuel pump

have diagnostic codes checked to see if you have a cam or crank sensor fault. make sure fuel pressure is at the required pressure, just testing to see if you have fuel at the valve is not enough. replace all spark plug wires. if you replaced two then all are just as old and even when they "look good" does not qualify as "they are good". Replace coil pack. start up drive away happy

These vehicles has problem both with instrument cluster (guage) and fuel sensor(floater) which is part of fuel pump: remove gas tank and move the floater and observe or use you scanner to see if instrument cluster gauge moves accordingly: My personal recommendation is buy a new pump on-line $106.00 and install new gauges as well: on line $120.00 or call me Alex-619-474-2550

Wrong fuel reading on 2004 Buick Regal

Sounds like the fuel sender unit is faulty. It's a float system in the fuel tank that converts a float reading into a electrical signal to the dash.

Just filled the gas tank in my 2006 f-350 turbo diesel super duty (6.0), started the truck and the guage showed a full tank. Drove down the road about 1/10 of a mile and the guage dropped to dead empty...

A loose connection on the sending unit could cause the problem but also moisture in the tank in cold weather could also be a factor in which i would add fuel line antifreeze to a full tank of fuel..........Hope this helps you out.

I have a 1995 Honda Accord LX and when i have less then a quarter of a tank and when i come to a stop my car shutoff

The Gas guage could be off. This occurs on occassion or there maybe a problem with the pump assembly that is causing it to have problems when the fuel gets that low. My guess would be the guage is reading incorrectly. If yo have a trip meter start reseting that everytime you refil your tank. In that model car I figure you should get at least 300 miles to a tank. When the meter reads 300 refil the tank. You should actually get more but 300 is a safe figure taht will not leave you stranded.

Gas Gauge not reading correctly

The most likely culprit is the sending unit in the tank. They are relatively easy to change, as long as you don't have much fuel in the tank. It's a mechanical unit that has a float that raises and lowers with the fuel level, however with age, the floats can develop leaks and no longer float, of the electronic portion of the unit can go bad and not register the proper level. They are replaced and an entire unit, so it doesn't matter which happened, you will need to change the fuel tank sending unit.
