When you mean cranks do you mean the blower runs or heat comes out for 5 sec,if its the latter than the heatcore is plugged or water pump is weak if its the water pump then increasing the rpm's the heat will warm up,look into the overflow tank or radiator and if anything looks like pudding than someone has mixed orange and green antifreeze and plugged up the cooling system

1995jeep wrangler 2.5 cranks well but doesn,t start

If its cranking fine you have one of two problems either your not getting any fuel or you have no spark. When toy turn the key to the on positron but don't crank the car lean back and listen for a whirling sound that is your fuel pump. If you don't hear anything is probably not working spray some starter fluid in your trottle body if starts you now know your problem. If the pump is working you need to check for spark one way to check is pull a spark plug wire off the plug plug it into a spark tester and crank it if you don't see any spark the problem may be your ignition module. Hope this helps you

2000 jeep wrangler wont start

If it won't crank, check clutch safety switch and cables for the starter.
If it cranks but won't start, you'll need to find out if it is ignition or fuel to know where to look next.

I have 1994 jeep wrangler 4.0 inline 6 5 speed, no spark I tried replacing coil, pick up coil ,crank sensor, still nothin tried resettin ecu but the codes wont clear I think might be a bad ecu ?

In some cases you have to replace both crank and cam sensor for both to respond, I would suggest geting a used cam sensor and trying again, if it still dosent work then all points to the ECU. What about the ignition switch since the vehicle is 94?

if you try to start it . turn it over a couple times then turn off key and then try again immediately it prob will start. if not replace the coil wire that should take care of it . let me know how it goes. have a good day!

1998 Jeep Wrangler hard starting when engine hot

I know that a lot of starters will not start quickly and draw a lot of power if the engine is up to temp. Try a higher CCA battery (Cold Cranking Amp) Battery, your bat may be to low of a rating. If it has a remotely mounted solenoid, not on the starter. If it does it may be mounted somewhere that it gets to hot, relocate to a cooler portion of the engine bay.

1998 wrangler efi system

FUEL PUMP WILL PUT PRESSURE IN FUEL RAIL FOR YOU. sounds like fuel pressure in the fuel rail is losing pressure usally caused from fuel pump starting to go out. check pressure with fuel gauge. screw it onto the fuel rail connection turn the key forward (do not start ) then turn key off presure should hold around 16 psi. if the gauge starts to drift back down then the fuel pump is going to go out ( sometime)
