Question about 2007 Kia Sorento 4x4
Dealer tells me that they need to replace sensor in transmission ($400 labor just to drop transmission). I have my doubts and feel that it is an electronic problem because if I disconnect battery leads and reconnect, the problem goes away for a while. But, it always seems to come back. Might it be the MAP sensor?????????? and if so, where is it located, just to check to see if it might be nothing more than a loose wire. Thanks! email@example.com
Could be Throttle Position Sensor or TPS problem.

MAP sensor is unrelated to this.
It sounds like the dealer is right in thinking that its a sensor in the trans. could be a speed sensor.
