Why not use you warrantee at the dealer

We can not diagnose a vehicle without it
& you gave us no codes

The point here is you risking damage with a
skid, trac, abs etc issue if you keep driving it

All wheel drive I would never get on anything unless
your a vehicle tech & know how to use it & repair it
they do & will fail more then other combinations

I have a 2008 Saturn outlook with 2w drive. I recently drove in wet weather a my Stabil Trak and traction control indicators

When the Stabilitrak and Traction Control indicators come on and stay illuminated in your 2008 Saturn Outlook, it typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's stability control system. This system helps maintain control and stability during adverse driving conditions, such as wet or slippery roads. There are several potential causes for these warning lights, and it's essential to address the issue promptly to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance. Here are some common reasons for the warning lights to stay on:
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor Issues: The Stabilitrak and Traction Control systems rely on information from wheel speed sensors to determine if a wheel is slipping or losing traction. If one of these sensors is malfunctioning or dirty, it can trigger the warning lights.
  2. Faulty ABS Module: The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module is closely related to the stability control system. If there is a problem with the ABS module, it can affect the functionality of Stabilitrak and Traction Control.
  3. Damaged Wiring: Damage to the wiring that connects the wheel speed sensors to the control module can disrupt the communication and trigger the warning lights.
  4. Malfunctioning Control Module: The control module responsible for the stability control system can develop faults or errors over time.
  5. Brake System Issues: Problems with the vehicle's braking system, including worn brake pads, can sometimes lead to issues with the Stabilitrak system.
  6. Faulty Steering Angle Sensor: The steering angle sensor is part of the stability control system. A malfunction in this sensor can lead to warning lights.
  7. Low Fluid Levels: Low brake fluid levels can trigger the warning lights, as the stability control system may interpret it as a potential issue with the braking system.
To diagnose and address the problem, you should take your Saturn Outlook to a qualified mechanic or a dealership. They can perform a diagnostic scan using specialized equipment to pinpoint the exact issue that is causing the warning lights to stay on. Once the problem is identified, they can recommend the necessary repairs or replacements.
It's important not to ignore these warning lights, as the stability control system is designed to enhance vehicle safety and performance, particularly in adverse driving conditions. Addressing the issue promptly will help ensure the continued safe operation of your vehicle.

I've got a 2010 chevy equinox and the abs and traction control lights are on. When I start the engine and try to drive the front wheel brakes sound like they are locked until you hear a ding sound.

check and test fuses and connections --check hub brakes and abs sensor for failure the sensor is incorporated into the hub so if hub failing can cause abs and traction control trouble lights

ABS CHECK LIGHT DOESNT COME ON WHEN YOU TURN KEY ON

1. I would not be concerned because if there was a failure in the ABS you would definitely get an ABS warning light and the ABS and most likely the stability control/traction control systems (with added warning lights) will all switch off .

2. You can test if the ABS is operational. On a very quiet damp surface, straight, wide road( with NO other cars around), apply your brakes hard from a very low speed - up to 20 mph ONLY driving in a straight line - until the car stops. The front brakes should attempt to lock up under hard braking and if the ABS is operational you will feel it kick in and the brake pedal will pulsate as the ABS constantly allows brake pressure and then releases it to prevent the wheels from locking up on the damp road. If the ABS does not kick in be ready to release the brake pedal quickly to allow the wheels to rotate so you can steer the car safely. Without the ABS the front wheels should begin to lock up on the damp road surface due to the low level of tire grip. ONLY test this at very low speed and ONLY when driving in a straight line on a straight section of wide road with no other vehicles around.

After changing abs sensor on a 2010 Equinox does it have to be reset by a diagnostic machine

The all wheel drive system in the vehicle has absolutely nothing to do with the ABS or any sensor on that AB system. The ABS, when it kicks in, does nothing more than apply and de-activate the braking system on each wheel as needed .

If your all wheel drive system has failed it will be a drive line mechanical issue that needs to be addressed.

ABS light & trak off light keep coming on. Grinding noise & vibration can be felt on brake peddle. Brakes have been checked. Wheel bearing was replaced on drivers side. Sometimes making a pulsing...

It sounds like "False Antilock Mode" to me. Your Antilock Brake Control Module "thinks" that you have a wheel locking up. This is probably caused by a bad wheel sensor. You need to scan the module to find out which one.
