Question about 1995 Buick Riviera
I can't get my rivie to shift out of park until it is completely warmed up. Is this normal? This winter seams to take much longer to warm than last winter, and it is not much colder.
There is a shift interlock solenoid under the center consule. Try putting the ignition key with the car off in between off and crank position. Then put the car in neutral start the vehicle and engage gear selector normally. however you would have to do this every time the car is turned off. if that works try unplugging the solenoid itself. you woill have to take the top off off the shifter assembly< (not hard though) the car will operate fine without solenoid hooked up but you WILL LOOSE the safety aspect of the way it was origanally designed hope this helps GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS AMERICA
