Re: engine failure to run
Have the engine computer trouble codes checked by any Autozone or Kragen auto if poss, or buy a cheap scan code reader about $35 US, until then you are guessing, if u do have the code's give them to me and I will take a look, how many miles, has the timing belt jumped time, the belt is shot at 60,000 miles, a jumped belt will cause the engine to run like well u know crapola, let me know and i will get back to u within one hour of this post.

There are MANY things that can cause this type problem...
BUT, If the cause of your problem is no fuel getting to the engine, and you've check the fuel pump (not just the relay, you need to make sure the pump is ACTUALLY pumping fuel), try checking the fuel filter?
It sounds like you already solved your problem. Attach fuel gauge to fuel rail pressure line and monitor for fuel pressur (above 30 p.s.i. @ crank). If pressure low suspect pump. If pressure o.k. but dies out and pressure drops but restarts, check oil sending switch as this controls fuel pump. Computer primes pump for start, then oil sender powers up pump for normal operation. Check for oil leaking at terminals on sender. Also check plug connector at fuel sender on tank as they are known to melt and fail. If fuel not problem, check for spark as ignition module failure is common. Have obd2 diagnostic run to check for codes as this may help with diagnosis.
I would next check the fuel pressure regulator if the pump was not pumping, or the filter was plugged some of the leftover waste in the lines from one or the other of these issues may have plugged the regulator causing inconsistent fuel pressure that would cause the engine to run rough, or possibley cut out fuel entirely, causing the vehicle to die
IVE HAD PLENTY OF THESE GO OUT EVEN A MONTH LATER. AS FAR AS THE STARTING FLUID JUST TRY AND CYCLE KEY BUT KEEP IT FROM TURNING STATER OVER. TURN ON AND OFF ABOUT 3 TO 5 TIMES IT SHOULD BUILD ENOUGH PRESSURE TO START. TO START MINIMUN PRESS IS 55PSI.
Sounds like a large vacuum leak, low fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator failure, idle air control valve stuck open, plugged fuel filter. Also check for good consistent blue spark at spark plugs or jumped timing chain.Hope this helps!
